CORRECTION v2: I was right in my original find (which has sat in my garage the past 2 years!)...I read the first bit of this thread today, and the '14 Impala spare is 5-spoke wheel 9594807 which according to those testing it (thanks @Wlepse and co) does indeed fit the TourX (caveat: recommended to put on rear for brake caliper clearance, or remove flashing on front caliper per another forum comment). Fortunately I've not had any flats since I last posted above! The spare tire and wheel look brand new; I put about 20lbs of air to get it to the recommended 60psi. Also, found a primo jack/wrench from a salvage yard Caddy.CORRECTION: I thought I read here that a '14 Impala spare would fit our cars. It won't. Looks like '00-'13 has same 5x115 bolt pattern but I think the spare is only 16" for those. Back to the 'yard I go. Just wanted to post so nobody makes same mistake I did.
Put down a couple of old t-shirts as rattle barrier, and a trash bag on top of that as moisture barrier. Wrap jack and wrench in trash bag, store on the side. All fits perfectly with sub inside spare.
Thanks to this forum I was able to get all that I needed for this project (plus many other great tips/tricks/deals for others)...another worthy reason to support it with a paid membership of only $20/year...total investment in spare kit: about $25. Thanks again, folks.
