Computer and electrical issues

2012 Buick Verano avec le même problème intermittent. Mon revendeur recommande que je change la radio. Je verrai si cela corrige mon problème mais j'en doute fortement

To [mostly] translate Guylaine's post - his 2012 Verano has the same, intermittent problem. His dealer recommends changing the radio. He will see if this corrects his problem but he strongly doubts it.

I am too having the same exact issue with my 2014 verano except sometimes the steering stops working as well

My 2013 Buick Verano has been running very well, until today when I was listening to the radio without the engine on. Within 8-10 mins, the dash screen showed BATTERY SAVING MODE. I turned the car off, then the engine would not turn over at all. The was a quiet clicking but no engine. The lights still worked though
I tried to jump start with no joy.
I was researching online and there were suggestions for other car makes/models that just needed a sequence (ie break×5, emergency lights×2) in order to reset the computer system. HELP!
might be a long shot but did you ever get this fixed ? My car seems to be having this issu

Two years later, the radio change did not work, I am stuck with a big lemon that my dealer does not know how to fix. The last time I brought my car in, all the trouble lights were flashing. I left the engine running and the mechanic was then able to see. A diagnostic showed no codes. I am desperate. Recently I have temporarily lost power steering and the engine has shut off several times, the electric hand brake sometimes stays on. I'm beginning to realize that I'm probably facing a need to rewire the entire electrical system.

my car has only 73000 KM

I'm sorry if I'm too late, but I've had the same issue and I know someone else described in great detail exactly the same issue I did where all the gauges show zero and the radio and blinker indicator on the dash doesn't work. However the easiest fix was fixing the ground wire that wasn't connected properly. Just follow that wire and tighten up the connections and clear any corrosion or rust is there is. That was literally it.

There's a very simple thing you guys should try first, found it from another thread somewhere in here that says the verano and cruise both share a couple parts. These parts are the ground wire and the battery voltage meter. Gm has admitted to wire having an issue with corroding at the terminal due to faulty production. Only costs about 40$ for both on Amazon. Very easy to change, but keep in mind my issues were minor compared to some of the ones in this thread
