Sd navigation card.

Nope.
I checked:
Regal - No.
CTS - No.
ATS - No.
Terrain - No for 2018, yes for 2019 and newer.
Equinox - Yes for all infotainment systems (switch over happened in 2019).
CT6 - Yes for all infotainment systems (switch over happened in 2019).

I am beginning to suspect that our Regal is the same as the CTS, ATS and the 2018 Terrain, while the rest of the lineup simply skipped over our iteration of the infotainment system.
Yea, the history is clear that GM has no plans for us, as also the INFO 2.5's have even a v2023 update.
I have a feeling our INFO system version can not authenticate the maps. So was hoping someone just tried to move the map data and keep the VIN files. Thanks for posting, as your list shows lots of GM owners in the same boat. Also, when I talk to the dealer, they seem to think there isn't an issue...

A user on FB page says this mapset update works with his TourX despite it is not listed.

This is the email response I just got when inquired.

Dang it, they just jacked the price today!
It was $99.99 last night and the website said the shipping is delayed.
I guess I’ll be the Guinea pig or sacrificial lamb….I ordered update on Monday for the $99.99 but it won’t ship for a week or two.

Thank you for taking one for the team!

I wouldn't be shocked if it works and they don't officially offer it just because that means that'd have to test it. And we're just too small of a market to bother.

I’m hopeful, the FB guy is adamant it works….I also had similar situation with my 2011 Saab 9-5-and Navdisc. After Saab went bankrupt there was no official support for nav updates but Cadillac and Buick used same hardware and purchasing one of those updates worked on the Saab without issues. GM Navdisc wouldn’t acknowledge it would work. We’ll see…

@ fb his TourX is '18 white needle, so i think you're going to be good with that #86810236 as newest available

ours came with #84364481 installed & a #84530371 also works

👍

I am that Facebook user. Forgot about this thread. I've been using the update since May.

I’ll know tomorrow for sure on mine. Update Fed Ex package arrived at my house yesterday (early). Driving back home to Fla from NC now.
Your the best. I'd also be curious if the speed limit data is missing?
Not sure if red needle user's have this, and the reason they have new maps.
Newer 3.0+ info system use maybe different technology, rather than reading from map data...

Speed limits come from
The maps hardware. We don’t get traffic sign recognition or any other real-time speed limit data.

Can’t yet say how much more up to date they are until I start driving around but they work. Simply swap out the SD card while car is off, turn car on and click “OK” to confirm to initialize and the updated maps come to life, no drama so far.

Update: first drive around maps work as expected. Some more detail shows than with the originals (toll plazas are shown where before not, more street names are displayed, some POIs are updated). I’m sure it’s now 2 steps behind but old version was about 6 steps behind.

I ordered mine before the new year and got the $99 price. I'll be installing the update this week. I'll let you know how it goes.

Option 1: Wait for the next year one and hope for the price drop to $99 again.
Option 2: Bite the bullet and pay 50% more than the on sale price and then buy the new one again.
Sounds like option 1 then.
Had the price remained at $99, that would be ideal.

There is an option 3 listed for $68 including shipping but someone would have to take the plunge - I already did my duty 🙂. Looks legit.

The card shown is the same card / part number I just got from Navdisc.

There is an option 3...

I ordered 1 @ NaviUpgrade for $65 + tax (now listed @ $80 +). The seller assures me "this is oem product and new."
