2014+ Digital Cluster Retrofit in a 2012 Regal GS!!

harleydad,
you need a lot more than the cluster for a 13, look at the list and the prices above you need all of it to work correctly. Not to mention someone to do the programming for all the modules. For a 14-16 it's plug and play after you get the cluster programmed. My cluster is on the way and I'm waiting to hear back from White's auto so I can get mine programmed.

Update on a 14+, not trying to hijack thread just what I found out for my car.
My car is a 15 Prem 1 and I bought the same 2014 cluster off Ebay for $45 shipped crazy cheap. I spoke with Chris at WAMS and all the clusters are different for 14,15 and 16 and they all have a different GM part numbers and they are model year specific. He is still programming the 14 cluster for me but he said some of the features like siri eyes free, hd radio icon, etc.. may not work correctly or at all. I dont use siri or display the radio on my dash so I didn't care about these features. He also said that if I go back stock all the functions will return and work fine. I'm guessing the updates they did for the model year changes are what is affected like siri,hd radio, apple carplay, android.. I don't know what all updates to the HMI were through the years . Just shipped mine out today to get programmed and will post another update after installed.

Like we said in our last email, we are more than happy to take a look at it and rectify anything to get this straightened out for you. We DO watch every single error message prior to shipping to make sure only the appropriate systems the car actually has are enabled BUT being human and as intricate as this is it's certainly possible we missed something; we'll get it handled for you. Merry Christmas!
Can i get your email please i need to contact you regarding my cluster

Ok, i will make this short and sweet and update it as I have time.

Bought a new OEM cluster for a 2014+ Regal that has the RPO UDD - The digital dash.

Repinned my harness (I will update it as I find necessary)

Programed the cluster

and after a lot of exhausting work...well...IT WORKS!!!

No way to control it yet because I haven't ordered a new wheel with the D-Pad controls (the turn signal stalk controls DO NOT work with this cluster)

a few pics, will update when I have time.

Up next: Full HMI center stack integration
I’m currently trying to do the same thing but how did you re pin the harness

Notice that... Was only hoping he would respond with some advice.... Thanks for your response 🇿🇦👍🏽

Id just like to know how involved it is to r-n-r the cluster itself. That was never mentioned in this thread.

Currently gathering parts to do the cluster swap. I talked with WAMS and was told that they can program the cluster and remove all of the pop ups (change oil soon, etc) since I will not be using the D-Pad. I'm totally fine with it staying on the speedometer permanently, I don't really care about the other functions at all. I just want the digital dash.

Change of plans. I have a D-Pad coming in on Saturday. My digital cluster arrives tomorrow. Once it arrives I'll send it off to get programmed and then the first weekend of June I should be able to test everything.

I sent my cluster off to WAMS for reprogramming last Friday. I am looking forward to getting it back.

I bought a factory service manual for the 2014-2017 Regals so I could see how the steering wheel controls are hooked up and I cannot figure it out for the life of me. I know that the steering wheel controls are monitored by the BCM so I was planning on grabbing a facelift BCM to wire up but I am not seeing a solution right now.

If anyone is interested in a plug n play wiring harness let me know.

Just installed a module that allows me to control the gauges. Now I can reset the oil life and access the friction bubble.

Asking again....whats involved in removing the cluster? Which trim panels have to come out, and do you simply pry them out with trim tools or are there screws to be removed? This looks to be more involved than the Cruze I just did. TYIA

I think there are two trim panels that pry out and you have to remove about 8 screws. It's pretty easy.

Got my GS cluster installed tonight after getting it back from White Media (great guy!). Works as expected. It was a complete PITA to get to the cluster, though. That dash was not designed very well.

If you're tired of having Verano gauges and want to modernize your 11-13 Regal I have some more digital cluster swap harnesses for sale.1629051658229.jpgScreenshot_20210901-091556.pngreceived_185543143591625.jpeg
