Battery removal 2019 TourX

I was considering one of the tourx but now I don't think so. Had a very expensive v8 Lucerne and when I had to replace the battery, it was under the back seat. Had two replacements and cost bunches. This type of thing completely turns me off of what otherwise may be a very good auto.
I loved when we had a couple Bonneville's from 20 years ago that had battery under the back seat. I found it so easy to replace. One i even did in the NAPA parking lot so I could do the core trade before I left the lot. Battery vents to the bottom of car and it does not get as hot as under the hood.

Since no one ever bothered to respond with the answer, you need to use a flathead screwdriver on the left side to pry up the plastic clip( area with ridges). Not hard but annoying. Hope this helps anyone searching.
well, 3½ years later i'm seeing this last reply to my initial post: no battery problems from then 'til now: car running fine but check engine light came on, with codes P3055 and P3056; codes reset and recurred about 5 days later. Some web surfing suggests battery issues, reflected in minor auto stop/start glitches and radio presets acting odd; decided to change battery (original, GM, see photo; 75K); only available source in my relatively remote location (Kona) open during holiday week was Costco which, amazingly, had replacement in stock (photo).
The crucial, initially unanswered question as to how to remove the massive + terminal connections was finally answered in this last post - a simple insertion of a flat blade under the edge of the casing. THANK YOU, seangoesoutside!
New battery in and now we'll see if the ck engine light stays off and minor glitches correct. In the short term, yes, ck engine light off ..... will see.

Should not be attempting battery change if not familiar or able to disconnect busses and fuse block(s) that are all seated on top of battery these days. No voltage really but amperage up the ying-yang… probably an AGM battery with start/stop feature that’s not driven much either? Things about those batteries no one’s told about, not repeating because the interest isn’t there. Seems like talking upon deaf ears, no problem at this end.

First the 4 bolts, one nut, and the negative terminal. Cover the terminal. For removal of the positive battery terminal accessory, loosen the 10 mm nut to left of the positive terminal. The accesory is held on by clips. Undo these clips with a straight screwdriver and remove from the battery. Then remove the front clip on the battery enclosure and the enclosure can be removed.
