That video is spot on, I used the ebay link on the thread but the shipping time is more than a month, any idea of somewhere to get it quicker?

I got mine on walmart.com for 15$. I just cant get my old knob off! Any help please?

I am having the same problem with my 2015 Regal. I can't get it out of park. I was able to cut the tie from the boot but the knob will not budge. I have pulled and twist but still nothing.

Did you watch the video in this thread?

Yes, I watched the video. That was how I was able to locate and cut the tie from the boot. Everything worked according to the video except the knob will not come off.

Its harder to pull off when its in the park position. When its in neutral, its easier to pull straight up vs when its pointed to the dash. Hopefully you swapped it by now. If not, don't give up, it does pull off. Just be careful you don't slam the knob into the dash at that angle.

The silver piece that you press on the shifter broke off and the piece behind it came out as well. I managed to get the small piece back in and wrapped some blue tape around the shift so it won't fall out. I can shift it but the small piece gets stuck sometimes and stays depressed. My wife will bring it to the dealer tomorrow and hopefully they will have it in stock. Has anyone replaced it themselves ? I searched online for the part number and found 2 , #13473331 and #23459424. Both say it fits 2014 Regal GS.

Replaced on 2015 Buick Regal. Just put car in neutral and straight up on knob. May be a little difficult at first but it will come off. This will help you

Does this handle..and/or button also apply to a 2013 Verano?

If so....
This button can be purchased separately BUT Is it possible for a person to change JUST the broken button cover?

If so....
Do you have to disassemble the handle to do this?

If so....
CAN I disassemble the handle?

If so....
Is a special tool needed?

If so....or not....

Thank you!

Same issue, only my key won't come out of the ignition. Any ideas?

The silver button keeps the trigger that sits behind the siilver plate, from being pushed out all the way due to it has a spring that push the trigger back out when depressed; so it return back to normal.otward position.

I order new one from walmart. For 18.99. Which takes 7 to 10 days. Ebay, it takes a little longer at the moment.

The upper part of sliver cover snapped and crazy glue doesnt work on it. I drilled a hole using 1/16 drilled bit and used a pin I removed from butterfly hair clip as a quick contemporary fix. I put the sliver cover back over trigger going in at a slight 45 degee. make sure it was in its outward normal position. Take care toe top part of the cover is fully out. I drilled a hole 1/4 of the way towards the inner edge and stuck the pin though. If trigger came out it goes in a certain way which is screw up proof, just watch out NOT to crush spring while pushig it in to the middle matching (T) or omega shape opening.

Use finger and pull trigger outward, try smaking back of handle. The button has to be fully out and even if silver clip is fully out the trigger under siliver cover may not be. Its an easy fix. Oh, double sided tape will not work to put trigger on because it may prevent the siliver part from allowing the trigger to fully extend into the silver cover. Even 1/16 of a inch will not allow the gear shift to allow key to turn off. Leaving car in accessory mode will kill battery quickly. And a low battery of bad one can cause lock to drop key code.
