Buick Regal Sports Tourer project

Are the steering controls functioning the same as they did with the Buick wheel? Minus the LIM button, I would assume.

New here and waiting on my Tourx to arrive from CarMax. On the rear bumper I read that the Rear Bumper Exhaust Molding :39117536 is needed. Does all the cladding come off the bottom of the bumper all around and this part replace it? I haven't seen good photos of the rear with the bottom cladding removed and what was used to cover it. I've read the whole forum and didn't see it, sorry if I missed it somewhere.

I did not take any pictures of mine with the cladding off the rear bumper, but yes it comes off. Start at the edge of bumper near the tire to remove I believe was 2 screws on both sides. The rest of the removal process is 3M adhesive tape. Below will be the best pic that I have showing the two pop style screws if you zoom in.

The sport tourer has painted side skirts on the rear, and a different rear valance which houses the fake exhaust ports. Here is a side shot and rear shot of mine. if you remove the one piece TourX rear valance, at the very least you would need the different rear valance. The painted side skirts complete the look, but are not connected to the replacement valance in any way.

It's just the normal painted skin.

Ok, so the whole rear bumper doesn't have to be replaced. Just the rear exhaust surround and the side skirts if you want them.

I took delivery of a brand new GS last month. OMG what a car. It is all about the active suspension. It may be impossible with all the electronics but if you could swap those onto your build it would change everything. Standard setting is under damped and prone to bottoming. Sport mode takes care of any bottoming problems and is still smooth enough to drink your coffee. GS mode is the magic carpet. It flattens right out on the corners and tweaks the handling as you go so you feel like a genius in the corners.
My problem is the seat is crippling me. It is too radical for my back. Do you think the seats from an Essence Sportback would plug right into my GS harness okay with no other modifications? I would be trading down in technology so it might work. Thanks for any advice about the seat.

Old thread i know but I’m working on a seat swap. Ive got back problems and thinking about swapping into a Sportback essence a set of the GS seats I found. What is it about the massaging GS seats that was bad on your back? I’d think the AGR seats would be more comfortable not less. Thank you!

@RoRi have you tried using SPS or DPS to add the ventilated seat flag to the BCM?

Sorry to double post, but I think flashing the build data with RPO A44 will rectify the passenger memory seat issue and possibly the ventilated seats. The only difference I can find in the build data between the GS and TourX is this single RPO which, weirdly, specifies if the car has 1 memory seat or 2. I don't have the seats installed but if anyone does, I'd be happy with the process to see if this gets it going.

I got the GS bumper fitted and I had enough clips to install one side skirt.

I took the GS wheels to the powder coater on Friday. Once I have those back I can install the Brembos.

Would you lose the fog lights with the GS bumper or can you keep em?

OEM fogs from the TourX cannot be used with the GS bumper.
