I have been towed twice in this car, the first within the first 3 months of ownership, without warning the car died at a stop light. All electronics were operating but the engine turned itself off and would not restart or even act like it would restart; allegedly some mysterious wire behind the dash came loose. The second occasion I reference in the post was preceded by more than a couple check engine light episodes that the dealer could not diagnose. Then I got the DIC power warnings (with the light), the first time with no notable change in performance, the second time very noticeable reduction of power to the point the car died and would not start. This time the dealer found a wiring harness in the trunk that they believe the insulation wore through due to friction from a small tool bag I keep back there rubbing on it through the floor liner to the point it shorted out some critical system. They fixed it and it's been fine since but it would seem like a design flaw. I don't carry much in my trunk compared to some people I know who have cinder blocks, dead bodies, etc. in theirs. Anyway, I've had no further episodes but my trust in my car is ruined and I plan to trade it in next year. I've also had numerous other electronic problems (most notably the radio/nav issue that's well documented).
