where are you located, and whats your projected cost for the entire project? How much are you doing yourself. I see you mentioned a shop is doing your.

the ZZP "stage 1" LNF cams are partially incompatible; apparently one of the LHU/LDK camshafts has an extended section that drives the vacuum pump

although with just the fuel pump lobe side camshaft installed, the vehicle idle has not deteriorated much on the same tune (trifecta)

dyno graph is attached above - this pull was done on pump gas with about 50 percent wastegate commanded at 26psi

i'm going to be upping the boost gradually over the next few weeks until i max out the turbo - still 50 percent to go

What a torque monster. Nice job.

looks good, seems like the spool time about the same?

Is the torque fluctuation the waste gate not keeping up?

All that time and money into why not make it AWD 🙂

Any more info on this build? What shop etc? I would definitely go forged with a bigger turbo in a heartbeat if i knew of a reputable shop

Looks like a Buick V-Series! Great work!

impressive. looks just like a WRZ STi dyno pull. Same drastic falloff in power after 6000RPM and thats with a 20G frame turbo when stock VF34 is between a Mitsu 14b and small 16g. Only when a 40-45 lb/min compressor is used can a STi make power thru the 7000RPM redline. Makes me think a slightly larger turbo would make the same torque at 500-700 rpm higher in the powerband but then gain much more up top??? What are the specs on this turbo you are using?

While I'm interested in the results, I'm frankly amazed that you're putting the time and effort into this car.

My thoughts exactly. It's a FWD heavy 4 cylinder. It's going to take a lot of money to get it moving fast, and it will never hook up without sacrificing ride comfort. To each his own though. Would love to see some track times.

The OP fell off the face of the world.... I would be really curious to see whatever happened with this build. I can't find any further information on it.

my guess is he popped the motor and or trans. If all was rainbows and unicorns he would be ALL OVER this site ad, you tube, Good Morning America!!! LOL

I was hoping to have crossed the 500WHP threshold already, but so far on the ZFR I've done ~410-420WHP (with other supporting mods).

It hasn't been an easy build, as there were a few unforeseen obstacles, such as running out of high pressure fuel pump even with a ZZP stage 1 camshaft package, CNC ported LNF head, electric vacuum pump, and then so on.

So lets try this again:

kranz38, if I may ask:

How much boost are you running on your ZFR?

With your ZFR, did you also experience severe compressor surge at over 30psi?

Did you end up discarding the Borg Warner EFR wastegate canister for a forge wastegate canister with a higher spring rate?

I've given up trying to break ~420 WHP or so with the ZFR (on pump gas, with supporting mods) and I'm now on a Treadstone cast manifold with an EFR 7670:

I'm running a custom prototype HPFP from <send me a PM for more info, or have matt or zoomer email me>, but its been so close, yet so far:

Very nice work! Pushing torque out to the right should preserve the trans casing. 🙂

Holy shit, he exist. Lol

I'm currently at 24.5 lbs but losing about 5lbs due to the stock core (380,whp on mustang dyno). I should have it back thursday with a zzp fmic getting all 24.5 lbs around 420whp on corn. I was told we can bump it up to about 440 on a conservative tune with no added hpfp. I'll be plenty happy with my goal of mid 4s, I really don't want to push it n start breaking stuff. Who are you having tune it? Hptuners our Trifecta?
How is your car holding up drivetrain wise? I've seen built gen 3s pushing 600 daily..
I don't plan on exceeding 26lbs btw, that's territory for disaster
