- 2012 Regal GS 6MT, 1997 LeSabre Custom Supercharged

The tune gives you 22 lbs of boost, up from the factory 20 lbs.
Will take some pics tonight when I get back from work
So, let me get this straight. If I buy this kit and install it, then a dealership will flash the computer with a tune? And this is legitimate? If this is the case, I might not flash my car with Trifecta tune I have. With my Regal's track record, I need the warranty!!
Hopefully it really is that easy with the dealer, to just schedule and bring it down there for an ECM flash because I definitely want to purchase the kit this week.
Although my local dealer may not be familiar with the exact kit yet, I called my them and didn't really give the option for them to install. All I said to the service manager was..."GM recently came out with a performance Turbo Stage Kit for my 2013 Regal GS, the instructions say I need to take it to a dealer to reprogram/tune. If I was going to have this installed, how much would it be to flash my ECM?"
They knew enough that they would have to call that number in the instructions to get the special code and said it would have to be done during the week before 5 pm and not on the weekends. I was told MINIMUM of an hour ($99.00), maybe 1-1/2 hours to flash/reprogram anything. Didn't say anything really about having it installed by them or anything, I mean technically it is considered an accessory. It may not have the bumper-to-bumper warranty if I install it (instead of the dealer) but still has the 1 year warranty like any accessory and still doesn't affect the balance of my car's warranty.
The trick is finding a dealer willing to do the flash.

got intake installed and ecm flashed today
It is pouring rain where i am and i've only driven it a couple of miles since but my thoughts so far are:
1: Turbo is much more audible
2: Improved throttle response
3: Pulls slightly harder than before
4: There is a sort of a grunting/rattling sound i have never heard before, and i am not a fan of it.. not sure if needs to be broken in a little of if something is loose, only time will tell.
it is definitely NOT a night and day difference, but id say that so far I'm pleased, looking forward to taking a spirited drive this weekend to get a better impression.
also keep in mind that i have not yet been spoiled with a trifecta or IPF tune. Im sure the GM kit would be a let down to anyone coming from either one of those tunes, but if your going from stock to this kit you will notice a slight bump in everything. Wether its worth the 600 for the kit plus the 250 for the flash and intake install id say depends completely on a persons wallet.
and for anyone in my area looking to pick this kit up, i had everything done at Igersoll of Danbury, CT... they reaffirmed that this kit will not affect the warranty, and that having them install the intake is not required you can do that part yourself, just need them for the tune.

truckIt1 - the noise happens as the turbo starts to spool, right after i give it some gas, i know there is a correlation between the noise and the turbo sucking in air, but it doesn't sound natural, and it is not consistent. Meaning each time i give it gas it will produce a different amount of grunt/rattle. I did only get to drive it for about 12 minutes so i'll wait and see, if it gets worse i'll have it checked out
I don't have a tune, but my car makes the rattle sound too. Sounds like a loose component rattling under the hood. It's really hard to tell what is normal and what is not with these direct injected engines. My noise started after I took my car from the dealer getting that last bit of warranty work done. At first I thought maybe the dealer had done something to the car being as they were pissed because of a bad survey I had given them before. However, the car drives fine and the rattling comes and goes.
