Thought it might be. Thank you, burned in brain now.

Any thoughts on bronze wheels on a white car? I was thinking black or gunmetal wheels on my Frost White TourX, but I keep looking at bronze wheels, too. I like the look, but maybe it introduces another color and will fight with the cladding. I don't think I'll remove the cladding, it just seems like too big a job, so I think I'll leave that part alone. But a set of 19s in bronze might look cool (I can also get these wheels in black).

What do you guys think?

Those are exactly what I’m planning on for my white wagon, those look sweet .

I keep looking at bronze as well. I think they'd look nice.

IMHO I think that bronze wheels work better with dark colors

I still have a soft spot for the BBS wheels that BMWs could be optioned with in the 1980s

What I don't love is the spoke pattern. A more classic style like @PrincipalDan posted would be better. I was looking for a classic dished wheel like an ATS Cup that would work, but gave up since this is my family ride and the German car wheel scene is for flat brim stance kids.

Just installed 2020 Caddy CT4 19" wheel option on my 18' Tourx. Everything fits with no issues. I went with 235/45/19 Kumho Majesty tires to keep the ride as close to stock as possible. The ride is a tiny bit harsher on impacts but overall very close to stock with better roll resistance. The wheels are $2000+ option on the CT4 and I got them for $800 on eBay. The CT4 wheel is 8" wide and a 35mm offset as opposed to 40mm for OEM and no fitment issues.
Do you have a side pic of these? Looks great!

Couldn't quite bring myself to go with the bronze wheels I mocked up, above. Went with safe black for my Tri-Coat White TourX. Bought a set of 20x9 Niche Veronas which I found on sale for about $1100/set. They're 27 pounds each--about the same as the stock wheels, so unsprung weight shouldn't go up much, depending on the tire. I chose gloss black rather than satin black just for a little change and to add some contrast against the plastic cladding. I like the heavy spokes which should work well on the big wagon. I went with 20s simply because I think the big wheel openings need a lot of wheel. The 18s look small to my eye and only a big wheel would make a noticeable difference. I'm rolling the dice on the decreased ride quality hoping that the fact that the factory uses 20s on similar cars means it's not all that bad.

Specs on the new wheels are 20x9, 5x115, +38mm offset, 6.5-inch backspacing. The only rub is that the center bore is 71.5 while the hub on the TourX is 70.2. So a 1.3mm difference. Not quite hub-centric but too small to have any hub rings that will work. Will have to be careful mounting them. Maybe wrap a piece of paper around the hub first (that's a joke).

I'm going with 245/40/20 tires to put a little more sidewall between me and the pavement and they are only 1.7% larger in diameter than the factory 235/50/18s. Should keep ride height about the same and fill the fenders pretty well. I'm planning on lowering it but we'll see how these fit before we do it.

Should have wheels, tires, sensors, and lugs together sometime next week and we'll see how it works. Very excited to see the change!

Wheels showed up today (very fast shipping!) so I pulled a front wheel and did some mock-ups. The new wheels fit well with no interference. My only concern is the lower spring perch on the strut, which might get close to the inside edge of the tire tread. As near as I can measure, I have about three inches of clearance there (in the photo below, I did not remove the foam rim protector on the wheel, which I would estimate is about 1/4 inch thick). How tall is the sidewall on a 245/40/20 tire? .4 x 245mm = 98 mm which is almost 4 inches. Will it fit? The diameter of the 245/40/20 is only 1.7% greater than the stock wheels and it's only 10mm wider overall and only 5 mm wider on the back side. If the stock tires fit, there's really no reason these shouldn't.

I've got the tires coming so I think I'll mount one and see how it fits before I commit to all four--that way if it goes wrong, all I've lost is the cost of one wheel and one tire. Hopefully I'm wrong and it snugs in there or, alternatively, if it's too close, maybe a 3-5 mm spacer on the hub face would move it away enough. It's pretty tight in there. Fingers crossed...

Hopefully no spacers will be needed. By the looks of it, the offset is already flush and will be pushed out another few mm once the weight of the vehicle is on the suspension. Of course, those few mm won't really affect the clearance with respect to the suspension... just the body.

Looks like that X is in good company in whatever shop that is.

Edit: Oh! Wheel looks neat, too.

Yep, they fit!

Should have them all mounted and balanced by this evening and I'll be able to give it a road test.
