Installation of LED/Turn Signal Fog Lamps for GS

I just finished my install, and I'm pretty happy with everything I opted out of the turn signal I did tap into it but it was just too much. I also tapped into the factory harness off of the daytime running lights and ground in the factory harness without any issues. I have done this I before on my cars without issue. I'll post pictures once I'm on my PC this phone won't do it. The install looks factory IMO

Mine finally arrived today. Each LED "fang" has a wiring box... they do not share a single wiring box. There are 4 wires coming from it, black, white, red, yellow. Each LED has a connector so you could replace the light or the box without replacing the whole thing. Mine did not come with instructions so I'll have to follow along this thread to figure out how to wire them. The light looks more like a strip than individual LEDs.

I would like to follow what others have done, I don't want them to act as a DRL or indicator, only as a foglamp when the side markers are on.

I emailed the seller and they came back with this wiring pattern:

Black wire to the ground
White wire to headlight +
Red (longer wire) to ACC+ (ignition wire)
Yellow (longer wire) to turn signal lights

I ordered mine from AliExpress last night, $33.58 - $4.00 coupon = $29.58.
Hopefully will see it in about 3 weeks 😉

I assume the Black Box contains the LED Resistors? I already have a Resistor's installed for my LED turn signal I swapped the 3157 with, I wonder if I can forgo the Black box and tap into the after the resistor.. I ordered mine from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JOJFLP6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The black box contains a little circuit logic to allow the turn signal feature to work (when the turn signals are on, it cuts power to the white lights so you don't have the white and amber on at the same time). If you never plan to use the amber lights on those things to flash with your turn signals, you don't need the little black boxes, but if you do want to use them as additional turn signals, you'll need to use the little black boxes.

As you mentioned, you sometimes need a resistor when you replace a regular bulb with an LED to fake-out the current so they don't flash fast or set a 'burnt out bulb' fault, but these lights don't replace anything, they are additional, so no resistor is needed.

Thanks Walt, I wasn't sure if it was or not, I think your talking about Switch Back Bulbs do that. I would like to get them both to work, now I seen there is a High and Low voltage for the White DRL, how is this achieved?

12) Clean up the wires in your engine bay. Here is an example of my engine bay midway through the install. I have absolutely NO wires showing, everything is hidden underneath the wire tubing connected to the frame and covered in black electrical tape to hide the colors.

Here are two pictures of the yellow. Once again, I opted out of this, I did not want three turn signals (mirrors, headlamp, and fogs).

Final Thoughts
The LED color is almost EXACTLY like the color of the DRL LEDs, which is very nice. The fitment of the lights inside the indents is not exact, they may sit a little bit out, but it is not very noticeable. I will more than likely repaint the chrome bezels of the light to match the flat silver of the air intakes. Overall I am very happy with the turnout, I think they look great.
