K&N drop in filter recommended for GS owners

Just installed mine... Definitely more pronounced turbo whistle (which I think is pretty cool)... And, just like with my other cars I've installed K&Ns in, better throttle response (which is what I generally do it for). I don't think the HP gains are ever noticeable... I've been averaging 24.5 mpg, we'll see if that changes any.

+1 on the throttle response...always the first thing I notice upon install. Got a road trip this weekend so we'll see how mileage turns out.

I get mine this week from Amazon, after reading I am excited to finally hear a more pronounced turbo

+ one for the improved throttle response. I like engine and turbo sound better as well. This my first K&N.

I don't know for sure if it's the filter or not but I just took another trip back home to MI from Cleveland. I averaged 29 mpg on the trip there and 28 mpg on the trip back (28.5 mpg combined). On that same trip before the filter install I averaged 26 mpg. Either way, I'll take it!
