OPL Monitor

I bought the v linker mc+ on amazon today. I downloaded the opl monitor app. The main reason i bought the unit was for add option and change dashboard theme on my white needle 19 GS. You had to pay 85$cnd for unlock this option without know what it's include in it. I saw stuff online about the red needle but nothing for the white one. I paid 75$ for the dongle. The 85$ extra seem over price.
The app hasn’t been updated since July 2024, and there’s no support available. For such a steep price, the developer should invest both time and resources to make it truly worth it.

"OPL Monitor shows promise, but the execution is buggy and confusing. There are no help pages to explain customizable themes, and I couldn’t locate any menus for “Logo and Animation.” On launch, the software generated numerous DTCs—two of which couldn’t be cleared. Terminology like IFE, AVS, Standard (0), Technology (1), and Variant (1) is poorly explained, making navigation within the app difficult. I also couldn’t find any themes for Opel, OPC, Vauxhall, or Holden. Most concerning is the lack of developer support."

This is an app I stumbled across some months ago.

Provided you have the right kind of OBDII adapter, the app and all its advertised functions work just fine on our cars. The developer is very responsive as well.
Which OBD-II Adapter is needed for this to work properly? Any suggestions?
