Regal Sportback Transmission issue

So now are you getting a new transmission, lines and cooler, and converter?
I think the converter is part if it since the one in there was discolored...

Best of luck

I have a 2019 Buick regal GS AWD and having issues with the transmission shifting sluggishly or not shifting and running up the RPMs. 28k miles on it, original owner. Just made an appointment at the dealership for July 6. Be very curious to see what they say.

Sounds a lot like the issue I had. Mine started at 25K miles. They put a new transmission in it, but it only lasted 10K miles before it did it again. They put a 2nd new transmission in it, 1,500 miles so far but I am skeptical.

After repeated phone calls & emails to GM, they said they would offer me an extended warranty on my transmission - 5 years/60K miles from the point where they put the 2nd transmission in. They are supposed to be mailing the paperwork to me this week.

I got the warranty letter from Buick today. They are extending the warranty on my transmission. It will now cover me to June 13 2027 or 110,156 miles, whichever comes first. But, it has a paragraph that says this: "Buick will make repairs to correct any defects related to materials or workmanship on the items listed above. Buick will not be responsible for conditions arising from tampering, abuse, physical damage, improper maintenance or normal wear and tear".

That last part worries me a bit, almost like they are trying to find an excuse not to honor the extended warranty. That being said, I love my Regal and am happy to be able to keep it for 110K miles, rather than the normal 70K mile drivetrain warranty.

If you trim the fat and just leave the beef, you get this…

“Buick will not be responsible for conditions arising from normal wear and tear.”

What kinda warranty is that?! I’d have to contact Buick and ask them to clarify.

Typical quotes from the original new car warranty.

One would think that with the mileage involved and the complaint and service record that "normal wear and tear" might
be hard to claim.

Transmission from hell strikes again!! My tranny has blown up for the 3rd time! It has now blown up at 25K, 35K and now at 60K miles. All 3 times it was after 1.5+ hours on the interstate at fairly high speed (all other trips have been shorter with no issues).

I love the car but definitely moving on after they repair it this time.
I don't know the reason it keeps doing it, but I am starting to suspect the Range Technology Stop/Start device that I have been using since I bought the car. I have no way to prove it one way or the other but I'm wondering if that device messes with the electronics and causes the transmission to overheat?

I, and GM, are at a loss as to what is causing these transmission issues.
