Buick Ownership
2011 Buick Lacrosse
I have a 2011 Buick lacrosse

my issue is the driver side window switch. The driver side window works but the 3 others do not work however they work fine with there respected door. The side view mirrors also don’t work. I was thinking it might be the switch but I see the window switch and the mirror are two different switches. Would it be the wiring? What is your suggestions before I start digging in to it.

Probobly unrelated I do have a starting issue I believe is the starter. It makes a single click. It’s getting worse and it takes about 5 turns of the key for the engine to crank over and start. I got a new starter I’m putting on Monday.

This window switch has me stumped. Also do I need to remove the door panel to access it or will it “pop” out. Thank you

View attachment 35140I just bought this 2010 that had same issues. This was the problem. Located underneath the drivers seat carpet. 7.5 amp master switch power splice point. 5 wires total. Also for mirror function.
I'm having the exact same problem with my 2013 LaCrosse premium. I checked all the fuses, still nothing.
Do you have to remove the seat to get at these wires?

I have a 2013 lacrosse leather with the same issue. so far i have tested the switch and its ok. i found there was no voltage on the wires to the side mirror control and the window switch.
i tested the harness and wires were intact back to the connector on the body panel coming through the door.
i don't think we have the same issues as the 2011 as all the wires go through the body control module.
the switches are fed from 2 different fuses according to my wiring diagrams.
#55 and the one labeled mir ewl fr both are 7.5 a fuses.

i dont see any other connections to a wire except going through a body control module.

still investigating

There is a splice right by the driver's seat underneath the carpet. It's a pain to get to but the wires in my car were a bit smaller then the ones pictured in this thread. But they were red. 3 on one side 2 on the other. If that helps at all

Gréât I will confirm once I have them fixed.

I'm having a similar issue on my 2014 Encore. I think a splice like this could be my issue too. I have relay noise at each window, but none of them go up or down (like there is power to the relay at each door, but no power to the motor. Can anyone confirm the location of this splice in an Encore?

George, yes i was - its been a few months, so i dont remember all the details, but i just spliced a lead where power was coming in on a different wire within the door. getting power to the power wire on the switch.

it fixed the issue and is still working - i think the splice went to the master switch and one connection to the mirror control.

Hello anybody that fixed this problem located in chicago?

Thanks for the tip and picture. I was working on a 2011 with the same exact issue, other 3 window switches inop + mirror switch. BCM lost comm with window switch. Power wires at window switch and mirror switch couldn't light a bulb, and only had 1.5 volts. Knew there was a broken wire somewhere, and with the help of your post, sure enough, it was the J332 splice corroded right in the same spot. I could actually see the blue corrosion seeping out from the harness before I even peeled back the electrical tape. In this case, the car had a bad water leak from a misplaced water barrier behind the rear door panel and the carpets were soaked, which probably kick started the corrosion at this splice in the harness. I butt-connected and soldered the wires then re-taped the harness.

Thank you sir..... just fixed the same problem on a new/used 2012. Now I have to blow out the drain tubes for the sunroof that caused all the wetness in her.
