Cargo fence for tour x.

That’s the fence my dealer gave me, Mike. See my photo above as it amazingly stows in the foam under the rear floor.

If you can find a good dealer, ask them about it. Mine made it happen.

Seeing that the fit is perfect, it's obvious that this is the cargo rail that is specified in the order form and build sheet. I would suggest those who are having difficulty getting the cargo rail, ask for their build sheet --- clearly shows the ANY package! I also chatted with Buick.com and they told me it should be included. How frustrating for those buyers who are not able to get this necessary accessory for their vehicle from their dealer! Tie downs in the back are okay but way more convenient to use the rail to keep things from sliding around in the huge rear storage area! Ours is on the way from our dealer who read the build sheet and had no problem accommodating our request!

It isn't listed on my DC1 list on my 2019 Window Sticker. Anyone have a part number for the fence?

I have to remember not to let this stress me out, But Buick is F__en with us.

I was in Amsterdam with plans to purchase flex rail which were thwarted by Kings Day. Now I know that the Dutch have a King and when he was born. I did come across these during my travels.

Ouch.

Mike: Make a trip to MN and I can help you get a cargo fence. My purchase dealer was going to order them for all the TourX's they had on the lot. What a commitment to the customer!

The cargo fence is easy to get through any GM parts department, the part number is 84394443

If you keep at them, they'll cave in eventually. If the dealer was supposed to get one with the car, they have to report it missing when they PDI the car to prep for the lot. After that, it's a more difficult claim for them to make. 99.5% of the techs who do the PDI don't know or care what comes on it- they just unwrap it, make sure nothing obvious is wrong, pencil whip the form that says they checked each and every function (which they rarely do).
I ordered a Camaro with the Boston Acoustics system which on the web site clearly stated it had a 10" sub. Got the car- no sub. I took screen captures and went back and forth with them until they gave me a $700 credit to order the GM sub kit with. 🙂

Any idea the difference between the part number you provided and 22745545? Seems like the latter can be gotten for nearly $50 cheaper (eBay).

I believe it's the same part. 84394443 replaced 22745545 but as far as I can tell there's no physical change to the part itself.

Some info i compiled:

not the same part as being discussed but I recently installed a barrier / dog gate and I think it turned out pretty well for less than $50.15587
15586

Suki & Sami brand dog barrier - bought from Amazxx

I installed the barrier in the rear this time but it could just as easily attach to the front seats. I actually like the white as it looks good with the lighter roof and it's not so distracting in the rear view mirror. (any more than a dog + would be)

Hello Tourx People, Attached is the installation page for the Adjustable Cargo Partition (uses the U-channel) that I received today, just 7 days after buying our 2019 Essence that was missing the Cargo Partition. Sales rep ordered while sale being transacted. But, he said he was unaware of what it is, not included with Cargo Management System, and could not find the part in the Buick Parts System. Well, found it in 2 minutes on my phone. Insisted that it was part of the CM option we were buying. Odd that he was with this Faulkner Buick dealership, same location in Trevose, PA (Philadelphia) for 12 yrs ! Bottom line is he was respectful and ordered it as we sat there. It is actually a handy and flexible tool. Rolls like a window shade, and extends as needed for containing items on either side, or across the full width of cargo area. I think it is the same part # 22743388 that is used for Enclaves and Cadillac SUVs.
Take care,
Happy new forum member,

Thanks for sharing......This is the first I have seen this cargo management setup (by GM)! Our Cad XT5 had the cargo rail.......this looks like it would prove to be very useful! Now to find the price........

Good job by your dealership ordering it for you as part of good customer service, but the Cargo Management System is supposed to include the cargo fence detailed earlier in this thread so the part you found on your phone is definitely not a fence, hence not the part that's supposed to be included. Way to insist you are right when you are wrong... In any case, it's another useful piece that makes better use of the cargo rails than the tie downs.
