What did you do to your Regal today?

Your car looks great, they did an awesome job repairing the damage from the hail.

I made a decision to keep my GS until sometime next year. I was trying to buy a ‘19 GS but couldn’t quite get the numbers where I wanted them. They are very hard to find.
The amazing thing is that my car drives like it is brand new and does not have a single rattle at 75K. Fun to drive every time I get in it. 98808C8C-5D82-487A-B3B1-21ACAAB1599C.webp

I picked her up from the body shop. Hail damage repaired, new front bumper, lots of nuts removed from the rocker panels, squeaky clutch pedal fixed, new brake pads and rotors turned, both rear hubs replaced, and painted signal green pinstripes.

How did you fix the pedal?

I didn't do it. One of the guys at the shop took off the panel under the dash, crawled up under there, and lubed the hell out of everything that pivots on the pedal. Daniel, the guy who did the work, is one of my autocross buddies. I need to thank him the next time I see him.

I took her out and autocrossed her. I came in fourth in the Novice class. I got beaten by an M3, a Miata, and a Focus ST. I feel really good about my finish.
How do you place fourth in a car that's not really competitive in its class. I drove every run like I didn't need the car for the 577 mile road trip I'll be taking tomorrow. She came through it just fine. Her tires don't even look as abused as I expected.

I got mine back from timing chain repair with a shiny new engine. I also had the transmission fluid changed. 😆

You won't see any power increase that's noticeable, specially since your car isn't tuned. As they say, all show and no go.......

It would have been better to put the money towards a tune since you could really feel the difference.

$50 used on eBay. It makes a bunch of racket and falls on it’s face about 300rpms further up, that’s about all I’ve noticed. Definitely still needs a tune.

$50 is a good deal for it, and with the money you saved you can buy a tune. I'd be concerned about heat soak in the hot summer months though since it pulls in warm air from under the hood.

Definitely something I’m gonna have to keep an eye on. So far my IAT temps while moving have been what they were with the factory air box. That’s probably due to the intercooler and not the heat shield. I haven’t checked them after idling for a prolonged amount of time and I’m sure they’re higher than with the factory air box when sitting still. A tune is coming at some point, I just have to decide on who I want to go with.

Put some 19s on her. Just thinking if I should buy lowering springs now. Hopefully the suspension will settle a bit more and cut the gap. We'll see

That cleans up pretty good! We had a super mild winter this year with minimal snow.

Horrible winter here in Montreal, Canada. Snow every second day. Will have to give her a good car wash

We had a pretty tame winter in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The first picture was from our only real big snow of the season. I was happy about that. I wash mine on a weekly basis in winter just to keep salt off.

Yee i do the same, they really put the salt down up here. The picture i just uploaded is from the day i tinted my windows and the biggest snow storm of the year hit us while the car was half done..

I did the summer wheels today as well. A sensor went bad over the winter so now I have to bring it in to the shop.
