Has anyone replace their Tourx wheels?

I'm not a fan of the factory wheels. Thanks for all the options, GM. I'm thinking about the wheels below. According to the manufacture's web site they fit. I can't determine how wide the factory wheels are. Anyone know? Other ideas? Thanks.

We are picking up our Smoke Pearl 2019 TourX tomorrow and have already ordered new wheels in the stock size from Discount Tire. We also ordered Buick emblems from Amazon for the center caps. Sorry I don't have a picture of our car, but attached is the simulation from the Discount Tire website. The wheels are called "Como" and will come in gloss black.TourX With Wheels.webpfrom the

Drilled rotors too? 🙂

For those looking for a deal it appears that Tire Rack has a few wheels on special for the Regal. Prices starting at $116/wheel in 17”. TourX owners should notice that they don’t show any wheels for the car but should choose the AWD Sportback as the car. The fitments is the same as the brakes are the same.

Just found these searching last night. I hadn't seen them before. These might actually make me pull the trigger.

I've seen yours before and like them. I really like the mirror cut and polished face on the MRR wheels rather than simply being painted. Probably accounts for the extra $100 per wheel.
I think I'd be willing to pay the extra $100 @ just for the 5 fewer holes, especially on a machined finish or chrome wheel.

Discount tire does simulations for the TourX?? Tirerack doesn't even seem to know the TourX exists...

Surprisingly it isn't for all the wheels the have though.

Here's a few snaps of my TourX with aftermarket rims and snow tires.

Rims: Touren TR60 Series Wheel
  • Size: 18" x 8"
  • Bolt Circle: 5 x 110mm/115mm (NOTE: the rims have 2 sets of bolt patterns drilled. Regal's pattern is 115mm)
  • Offset: +40mm
  • Hub Bore: 72.62mm
  • Finish: Matte Black w/Machined Face
The snow tires: 235/50R-18 Bridgestone Blizzak WS80 XL

Here's a link to the rims I purchased: The Wheel Group 3260-8811B: Touren TR60 Series Wheel Size: 18" x 8" | JEGS

I got the tires from TireRack

Here is a link to the TPMS Sensors on Amazon: TPMS Sensors
Here is a link to the Lug Nuts on EBay: Lug Nuts

Everything mounted and worked perfectly. No rubbing or problems. TPMS worked fine after activating the sensors & programming to each wheel.

I'm starting not to be too fond of the factory wheels. Those shiny Touren TR60 Series Wheels look fine.
I'm really happy with my winter setup also.
Although I sort of went thru hell with the order screw with my wheels with Discount tire/Apex, (see Post #278) they made things right in the end. Wheels & tires installed, balanced with TPS & hardware was only $930 total out of pocket along with just a few more grey hairs. Still, that's about 1/2 the price from Tire Rack, etc.
Of all the wheels I seen yet, I like these the best.
TourX owners: spoiler for our cars (Post #7)
TourX looks just too sexy in Black with spoiler too! I bet if Buick had dressed them like that, they would not sit on the lots long.

I've been looking at wheels for the TourX for a while and have noticed that a lot of the wheels are exactly the same across brands. I guess that is to be expected with wheel companies buying generic cast wheels from a mass manufacturer. I've found that the vast majority of cast wheels weigh a ton, some at 35+ pounds. I'm looking for performance along with looks. I don't want to add to the unsprung wheel weight.

I've found a lot of wheels are available for the Regal if you go to the wheel website and do a bit of investigation. What I think is occurring is that the wheel configuration on the websites doesn't really account for "custom" wheel configurations. Also a ton of misinformation about 5x114.3 working on a 5x115 and websites listing the Regal with the wrong bolt pattern. CARiD pretty much refused to order the correct lug bolt pattern saying that the 5x114.3 works, so I refuse to buy from them.

Guess I'll be paying a premium price (~500 a wheel) to get a forged wheel with the correct specs and a decent weight. Visualization of one of the wheel choices I an considering. 20x9, 35 offset, 255/35 R20 tire. The inner sidewall to the suspension and frame is: 0.15" closer, the outer sidewall is: 0.55" farther out, tire diameter difference is -1.1%, +7 revs per mile and only ~22 pound per wheel.

I agree you get what you pay for and wheels are no place to cut corners. Do you know if the OEMs are forged or cast? Any idea what they weigh?

I believe the stock wheel is cast. Cost much less to cast a wheel than forge. In a couple of post in the BBS wheel thread the reported weight of the factory wheel/tire combo at over 50 pounds each.
20” BBS wheels installed!
Figure the wheel at ~22 pounds and the tire at ~27 pounds, there will be a few pounds of unsprung weight saving per corner.

54lbs on my scale with changing to a 20" wheel, I gained 3lbs per corner moving sizes

Trust me, you were not the first person to try to explain the error of their ways to CARiD. 5x114.3 may fit but is not safe due to strain int places on studs and wheel Assy. I'm just a dumb Engineer.
Ps. My Velox Apex 18 x 8 come in at around $500 in dark grey metallic, 5 X 115 are on Back order. I got last set.
