👍👍 for the PureContact LS Conti's.

I am starting my search for a new set of tires; I currently have BFG g-Force Comp 2A's and in general I have been more than happy with their performance with one exception...tire wear. To be fair, they are rated as a 40k wear warranty and I think some can get this but I tend to toss my tires well before the wear band since I really notice the drop off in wet performance. I currently have about 20k on them and they read around 6/32 so I am about halfway (full on these is 9/32) through the tread. I may be able to push these further than some other tires just because there is a lot of open area in the tread design but I am doubtful they will get past 30k for me. So I started looking again to find a tire that would be close in performance in wet braking and feel and was considering the Continental Extreme Contact DWS' since the treadlife warranty is a little higher and in some reviews I saw people got even more than that. But I have also heard a lot of issues with noise and balancing issues on these. So for those that have had these installed and have some miles on them...how do you like them? Looking a little further out of the "performance" tire offerings I was also considering the Continental PureContact LS', they have a 70k wear out warranty and while note as good in the rain are close enough for me to consider them. I know some here have gotten these too, so what are your thoughts? Does anyone think I am missing something?
I've had my extreme contacts for about 5 months and no issues at all. My car came with Goodyear's and the noise is the same. Wet/snow traction is much better than the Goodyear's though.

I'm running the Michelin Primacy Tour A/S and they are holding up wonderfully (replaced the OEM Contis)
Less body roll/body lean when turning? How is the steering, MPG and acceleration? They are OEM on new Cadillac sedans, so they must be decent.

I would say that I don't really even notice the tires. In a good way. (I keep an eye on the psi) I've always liked the sharp-ish steering & theses are unobtrusive there. Stopping is great. The body roll is part of the softish ride of the TourX as far as I can tell at 30K miles. They get good mileage on the hiway and the same mid to hi teens in town. I'd attribute a lot of that to the AWD too @ 10K on the tires.
Wear is even and the dealership had them at a competitive rate with included rotations.

I had to replace the OEM Continentals on my 2020 Tourx. They were "ok" at best. I do like Continental though. I've have had Extreme Contact DWS06 + before and loved them. So, that was what I wanted. After talking to the local tire store. They thought the Control Contact Sport SRS+ was a better fit for the Tourx ( They may have just had more of these in stock and wanted to get rid of them 😉 lol..) and I have to say I love them! Smooth, quiet and driving through the mountain snow and slush is great then right back down to the desert and the dry action is great too.

Only sold at Discount Tires. How is MPG? Cornering? Acceleration?

MPG is the same 20 in town, 34-36 on the Hwy. Acceleration is the same 0-60 ok, 60-100 fast. Just took the I40 to I25 clover leaf at 95 the other day. It's probably a 1/8 mile banked curve. No slippage, griped firm had full control. probably could have pushed it more no problem, but they don't clean the roads here very good so, there is a lot of sand and rock sometimes.

I like the EXTREMECONTACT SPORT 02
but?:

Now I'm on my 3rd set (counting the factory tires)

So ditched the ContiSilents at 20K because of the dreaded foam separation, replaced them with Hercules Raptis UHP all season tires. Good tire, crisp handling, strong cornering... But being a UHP tire it only lasted roughly 35,000 miles before developing a sidewall bulge (that was the tread wear warranty as well.)

Wanted something capable, wanted something with better tread life (65,000 miles), was only willing to spend a certain amount. Got the local tire shop to order General AltiMAX 365 AW (all weather) three peak snowflake rated. Only put a few miles on them so far but they are definitely a Grand Touring Tire as advertised, softer ride, slower steering response - haven't got to carve a corner yet.

Can't wait for winter to see how good they are poor weather.

Tough to beat the price for performance of the General Altimax line. Now that I have some time on the RT45s I can say they are a better tire than the factory rubber. Way better in the wet. I'm sure they'll see a little snow, but I have some winter tires for the bulk of that driving.

I had to get tires in a hurry after the OEM Conti's sh*t the bed. I like the Altimax's put on 7/7/21 - so far so good

FYI at my local tire shop the AW version was the same price per tire as the RT version of the AltiMax.

Though they carry General naturally they don't always have the full line in stock and apparently I was the first to order the 365. After installing them they said they're going to start recommending them to people based on the aggressiveness of the tread. Here on the rural Colorado Plateau we get all 4 seasons sometimes within a 24-48 hour period.

The stock Contis were not up to handling the weather in Denver. But in the winter I chase snow storms to ski, so running dedicated winter tires makes sense for me. If I didn't, I'd probably just run the Altimax 365s year round.

Fellow New Mexican? Buenos Dias.

(Although the last time that cloverleaf was that empty and I was driving it was after midnight.)

Just replaced my Continentals with Pirelli P Zero and so very happy. Excellent grip and very quiet since they have the foam inside. And they look amazing

We ended up getting new wheels and tires for our 2018 Sportback when the three of the four stock wheels got damaged somehow. We had severe vibration above 45 mph which made road trips unpleasant. Since we have the Tire Rack nearby, I took a Saturday morning and got new Sport Tuning T16 wheels and 245/45-R18 Vredestein Quatrac Pro tires.

A much better deal than the Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires I had been looking at.

I got a set of Falkens that will go on it when time comes. They were for a 16 CTS I sold.
