I really appreciate this forum. To the guy that gave the advice on the sunroof shade, thanks so much. I did exactly what you said and now my sunroof closes all the way. May the universe bless you with that you ask for. Have a great life.I just joined this message board simply to say "Thank You Spartan0199". Was driving home in Hurricane Sandy tonight when out of no where my sunroof got stuck in an open position...lol, not fun. Thanks for posting this solution. So glad boards likes this and contributors like you are happy to share and help others. Thanks again!
Thanks this fixed my issue with the sunshade.Sorry guys I thought it would be faster to just email me, I haven't been on the board since my last post. I'm not an owner, my interest is only the sunroof.
There are multiple issues that could come up with the sunroof that I might be able to help with so let me know the details of what you are experiencing.
It seems the most common issue in warranty is the roller blind only wanting to close half way. In this case you need to reset the GLASS motor.
Steps are:
With the glass panel in the closed position, hold the glass button in the close direction only to the first detent (first dent is about half way, if you press the button all the way in it won't work). Hold the button at the first detent for 15 seconds, the glass motor should reset.
Now try to close the blind with that button and it should work normally.
Curious....did you ever get this resolved, I have a 2018 Envision and am in the midst of having the motor replaced. I have no idea how the "moonroof" opened by itself, but I discovered it was open after two days of rain. Of course it's out of warranty by 2000 miles. The entire headliner had to be removed to access the burned out motor which is located in the rear of the car vs under the overhead console (which would be soooooooo much easier to access). My issue is that I have NO idea how or when it opened, and after I replace the motor, can I expect it to happen again down the line?Okay here’s my moonroof on a 2016 Envision opened on its open, I purchased extended warranty when I bought this out on a lease....the dealer said the motor got wet. And burned out, causing the window Togo back and that caused problems with the tracking....caused by clogged drain holes...I swear that window hasn’t been opened 6 times since I had the vehicle....oh, not covered by insurance due to being caused by water....I don’t get it.
Wow, I can't believe it was that easy! Thanks a ton!Sorry guys I thought it would be faster to just email me, I haven't been on the board since my last post. I'm not an owner, my interest is only the sunroof.

Update: lasted two weeks, now in the garage again as we await motor #2. Have very little confidence this won't lead to #3.Curious....did you ever get this resolved, I have a 2018 Envision and am in the midst of having the motor replaced. Which fuse would it beI think I locked the sunroof, with the initial procedure. it worked for the shade. I can still control it. but its more of a manual control where if I hold the button on the 1st indent the shade open and closes, but the roof wont open. I tried the first indent option on the roof. fowards and backwards. No results. has anyone removed the fuse or battery to see if it works.
Got a problem the roof won't seal down 2010 lacrosseIf you guys have any more sunroof function problems let me know. They probably can be fixed without a trip to the dealer. I can walk you through the motor re-program.

Thank you!!!! This fixed my 2019 Buick Envision sunshade issue. It was only rolling up to halfway and I couldn't figure out how to fix it. And, since I live in Louisiana and it's now getting hot outside, this was much needed. You're the best!GENIUS🏆
2011 Lacrosse. My sunroof would not completely seat at the rear. I tried everything! Finally I pulled down the light fixture , revealing the sunroof motor underneath. In the center of the motor is a small hole with a allen screw inside, no sure the #, I found the correct one and cranked it toward me, after the second pull I heard the glass pop above me and it had completely closed. No more air or water leaks, success at last. Hope it works for you!Thank you. I took it in to the dealership. They "reprogrammed" the sunroof and said the sunshade needed a new motor. That part doesn't even have a release date yet. I will keep you all posted. Thanks again.
