Best tires for your Regal

Best replacement tire set you had already tried on your Regal?

My new tires arrived. Indeed the foam had separated from one of the tires causing really bad vibration. Hindsight being 20/20 maybe I should have just pulled the foam from this one tire and kept driving on this set as they only have 38k miles on them and still had plenty of tread left. alas $900 spent, and I should feel better with great traction and stopping power, plus no fear of another tire losing it’s foam.
Just remove the foam from all tires. The noise difference is negligible. I actually love my replacement set of ProContact TX without foam, made in the USA. They are just getting worn after 45k since I installed them (replaced stock Conti's at 30k). I will get around 10k more out of them, which is exactly within their warranty. Great plush handling and fuel economy. Wear and acceleration are so good I may even get another set of them again or get PureContact LS.

Big O Tires has buy 2 get 2 free right now on the Sumitomo HTR A/S P03. There are caveats of course like you must also get a alignment and from researching so long I can say they jacked up the base price also but I think it may still come out a good deal. Sale is good until February 13th.

Disclaimer: I do not have these tires or experience with this brand but these were on my shortlist.

Nope, my Sportback came with Conti ProContact TX. Only basic trims of Sportback with 17" wheels came with Goodyear Assurance.
DWS06 was commented by many people as being more mushy and taking a hit on fuel economy. I would rather go with Michelin PS4-Primacy Tour/BFG or Conti PureContact LS/General Altimax-G-Max AS-05.
I thought I was responding to someone else.
But does not matter the DWS tires were a deal if I remember right, and my ex was driving the GP.
I would put regular in it to slow it down.
She was a good driver in her mind, just like Rainman.

Yokohama ADVAN Sport A/S+ = brilliant traction for the price!

TourX is in with my mechanic today, to swap out the OEM tires for Michelin CC2's. Then I just got the attached email from Buick Onstar. I guess my mechanic is working on it now! Didn't realize how closely Onstar is monitoring my vehicle...
Yup. Super creepy IMO. I have two GM vehicles and on both, I have removed the communications board located inside the OnStar module. The only downside is that now the compass doesn't work (hands-free calling still does...different hardware).

However, the upside of being able to maintain anonymity from GM's prying eyes far outweighs that for me.

Just replaced the OEM Foamies @38k with Continental ProContact TX's. I notice zero sound difference. The TX's seem to have a slightly more rounded edge, making turn-ins seem a little easier. $1100+tax included a 4-wheel alignment and lifetime rotation at my dealership.

Wow, and I thought I was paranoid!
Do you use a cell phone?

Just installed a set of these in 255/45-18 $850 at Discount. Definitely looks more appropriate to the car, wheel opening, and wheel width. Anyone know the wheel width? Seems plenty wide for 255s.

8 inch stock rims are fine per the specs for that size General G-Max.

I've just have a few days on the new Michelin CrossClimate 2's, but am happy with them despite the cost. I had the vibration issue at 65mph, and that is completely resolved now. With the weather we have been having recently, I've had the opportunity to drive in slushy, dry and rainy conditions. All good.

Looking through this thread it's hard to tell when you guys mention anything about the DWS 06's if you are referring to the old version or the newer "Plus" version....

Anyone have experience with the "Plus" model?

Alright got my set of DWS06+ mounted yesterday. Haven't drove much on them but I do notice the steering wheel feels much easier to turn. I imagine these are lighter?

Anyways I was hoping that they would have more or a squared off shoulder but they are definitely rounder than the stock foamies.

No 😢 probably should have.... I stuck with the stock size of 245 45 18.
Oooo I assumed that sportback had same 235 50 18
tires TourX had. They looked like lower profile then 50
So assumed they were 255 45's.

Found old picture, so these are not the newer version.

Silly me those are Bridgestone Driveguard runflats,
these are retired DWS's and current shitty runflats.
