Buick Regal Sports Tourer project

Have you noticed if, since lowering your headlights “cutoff” line has changed height? I was wondering how the car would react to lowering springs since the front and rear suspension have height sensors for automatic headlight adjustment due to changing load conditions. It might look at the difference front to back and make changes where as if all have changed, the system is fine with it.

No noticeable difference. Like you said, we have front and rear height sensors so I'm sure the system just aims to keep them level.

How harsh does that ride? Wondering if the combo of stiffer springs and low profile tires would be too much for the crappy roads in NJ.

The 20" do have a noticeably stiffer sidewall than even the 19"s.

These are for sale. I decided to keep the GS wheels and sell the 20"s.

20" 5x115 with 255/35R20 tires and TPMS sensors.

I have $1340 in them including the wheels, powder coating, tires, and TPMS. Asking $1300 OBO

Should fit:
2018-2019 Cascada
2016-2018 Envision
2017-2019 Lacrosse
2018-2019 Regal
2015-2017 Verano
2015-2016 Cadillac ATS
2016-2018 Chevy Malibu

They worked in the GS

If you wanted to pursue the seats you could check with White Automotive to see if he could reprogram the TourX seat modules.

Did you swap over the GS steering wheel?

GS Seat update:
15266

So I had been experimenting with the passenger seat as my test, but it would not work at all. So today I had some time to try the drivers seat and it worked! All standard power and memory functions work plus the adjustable bolsters and massage!

I guess the incompatibility with the passenger side has to do with the fact that the GS seat is a memory seat and the TourX does not support it. One option might be to swap the entire seat harness over and make it a standard power seat, but then the TourX harness doesn't have provisions for the massage and bolsters to work...

I sent an email to White Automotive, hopefully they can offer some suggestions and insights on getting the passenger seat and cooled functions working.

Thanks for the update! I need to start searching for a pair of seats. Last I checked, car-part did not have any available yet....

My car is the preferred trim, I guess I will need to experiment to see if the driver seat will work. My passenger seat is not power so I might be out of luck there.

Would you be willing to prod and poke the front end of the GS to see if the bumper support is threaded for a tow bolt, and just covered with some plastic piece on the tourx? I pulled the access cover on the front of our front bumper and dug out a big chunk of styrofoam only to find a plastic something between daylight and the support.

So, I shouldn’t have bought the tow hooks huh?

It is not threaded.

Both GS seats are in!

The TourX is not wired to provide power to the memory module on the pass. side. There is a red/blue wire in the passenger footwell harness that needs to be tapped and the pin added to the seat plug.

The red/blue wire isolated here:

And tapped:

All seat controlled functions work including the adjustable bolsters and massage. Tackling the cooled seat function comes next...

Are you swapping the HVAC controls from the GS to get the buttons for the cooling action?

I absolutely love this build and look forward to every update. Thanks for sharing!

Fantastic write up on the seats especially on the issues that need to be addressed. If anyone thinks that it's a simple plug and play needs to read this post.

Other than calipers and rotors, what modifications were made to install the Brembos?

The fronts need the brake hose and dust shield. The rears just need the dust shield.

Last piece of cladding is gone!

You reuse your reflectors and exhaust surrounds. If you have the kick tailgate you will have to drill the hole; it is marked on the back side of the extension.

Opel badge part number is 39068586

I have the OPC side skirts as well to finish off the rear bumper, just have to get them painted.

My front grill is due for delivery tomorrow. I may have answers and part numbers for ACC cars soon!
