Cargo fence for tour x.

Lots of super bowl shenanigans ongoing today here in the salt mines, so I took some time to chat with the folks at Buick.

After lengthy conversation, and escalation to a supervisor, the helpful CSR conformed that the cargo fence is indeed a part of the cargo management system package.

Time now for a chat with the friendly dealer folks…

Did they have any more insight into the under floor storage as well?

Maybe it’s just on my side, but as of this morning I’m not able to pull up those same menus that list the cargo management components. I’ve tried on mobile and on a PC web browser.

Is Buick getting wise to us wanting our complete feature list??

I think this falls under the 'read the fine print' of the configuration page ie. GM not responsible for errors or package changes or something like that. My window sticker doesn't say anything about a cargo fence, underfloor storage or even a cargo shade under the Driver Confidence Pkg #1 description. Evidently the cargo fence was dropped as a feature in the package and the configurator wasn't updated??

Whats the worst that can happen? They may not spring for the hardware, but may be willing to offer up a complimentary oil change/service.
I still prefer the euro styled cargo fence (aka Flexrail) a lot more, especially given that it has the 2 retractable straps incorporated into the design.
Will most likely pull the trigger on it from a UK vendor.

I just got a confirmation from the dealer that the rail was supposed to come with the vehicle. They are consulting with the dealer that it was transferred from first and if its not there order it from the factory.

I guess I was right to go with my instincts. 🙂

What didn't you receive? And it looks like that trim is supposed to have "cargo fence" - does anyone know, is that the mesh net? Or is that the Flex Rail? My '18 Essence I/II/S&S has the understorage, shade and u-rails, but not "cargo fence."

You have that hard styrofoam molded piece under the floor? Or when you lift the floor do you see the sub woofer, compressor and tire sealant?

It clearly says "u-rail with adjustable cargo fence". The rails are there but no one seems to have gotten a fence.

I think we all want the fence! The net is no big deal and a nearly identical one appears to be on Amazon for about $20

And if you see the sealant then you do NOT have the foam "under floor storage" that I posted a picture of - taken from a Vauxhall Insignia YouTube video.

The fence is the exact same one in the Cadillacs and GMCs. But they neglected to 1) give us one, and 2) even list it as an option.
