No, it is a bit different. Red needles have oil temp and voltage gauges in the pockets (they are not changeable) voltage gauge could be permanently swapped for turbo boost however (via programming).Yes, I realize that but as far as I know the panel layout is the same for both Red and White needles.
@Uniqez .. just curious.. If you choose turbo boost data (via programming), is voltage data never available then? Or can you still access the voltage data in the non-pocket area if turbo is programmed? No, it is a bit different. Yeah, unfortunately it will not be displayed at all. I agree it is more useful to have voltage in the pocket and boost gauge in the performance menu.@Uniqez .. just curious.. While turbo boost seems like a fun gauge to have, seems to me voltage is more useful/critical if there is no other way to access the data.
All I want is just to change HMI boot logo from Buick to Opel, it looks like WAMS, suspended this service and is marked it "Out of stock"WAMS did 'upgrade' my (white needle) HMI to the Vauxhall branding, but we found out that there was an issue in that after the re-branding, the only speaker in the car that worked was the centre dash one (which gets its signal directly from the HMI). Turns out that after the change, the signal ('Remote Amp Enable' or something like that--pin 14 of connector X2 on the HMI ) that turns on the rear amp/noise cancellation module (which Vauxhall doesn't use) wasn't going 'high' to enable that hardware. I'm guessing WAMS doesn't want to get involved with re-wiring the hardware* in the HMI or finding the location in the software to re-enable the signal.
*Reasonable sure he could--but that modification would void the warranty on the HMI.

There is a guy on the Opel Insignia B FB group that does something similar to WAMS. Maybe he might have some idea what is possible and if it can be done somehow remotely or swapping a preprogrammed module out.All I want is just to change HMI boot logo from Buick to Opel, it looks like WAMS, suspended this service and is marked it "Out of stock"

And Here:The NGI (Next Generation Infotainment) cluster would, at least on this forum, be referred to as 'red needle'--as in NGI 2.0 or NGI 2.5--the 'classic' infotainment screen. The 39138365 would be the 'white needle' version--2018.5 MY with the 'minimalist' (Samsung 3.0) infotainment screen.
Keep in mind that purchasing a new cluster isn't that easy--I tried that with GM Parts Direct & they cancelled the order within 45 minutes. If you give WAMS your cars VIN, they can source the correct module & take it from there.
The mid-level cluster has the same part number for both the Sportback & the Tour-X; so the uplevel part should have the same number between the GS and the wagon. The number I used (after checking with WAMS to make sure) was 39200847 which also shows-up as a 39187710 (?).
WAMS may have this down to the point where they will provide a USB stick with the new programming on it & you just plug it in, answer 'Yes' to the 'Install software' prompt. Don't know if that includes programming the new VIN into the cluster, or whether that needs to be done at your local shop.
According to the fitment notes the bottom cluster fits 2018.5-2020, the top one only 2018 (red needle version)Ok, can someone please clarify which cluster part numbers are for red needle cars and which are for white? I have a 2018.5 TourX with white needles (IOT), and I've read through all 16 pages of this twice now trying to figure it out. I've seen what appears to be both part numbers (39200847/39221952 and 39138365) given for what should be used on a white needle car.
Here:
And Here:

No, the odometer reading is not stored in the cluster but the cluster has to be programmed to car's VIN so odometer reads correctly. That programming is not a DIY procedure and where White's Automotive comes in along with enabling other features.is the mileage stored programmed into the cluster?
Any write ups on the physical install?

Sorry for all the typos..... typing on my phone in the dark!Something thats bugged me since I've got a 20q8 GS, is that the center screen guage colours are all real blue to match the previous generations LED colours, yet all the interior colours on the new gen are white with red needles. Even the follow distance icon car pictures is the previous gen.
I had a 2012 GS and loves the ice blue lighting, but muchit looks aweful whe it doesn't match anything in my new car. Is there a way to program the colour our to red (or white even?) Totally cheapens the car and makes it feel like a parts bin special.(I realize that is what is it, I know haha)
