“What's one more button when I have a row of mostly blank ones in front of the gear selector anyway?” EXACTLYYeah, the Saab night panel is pretty cool on long nighttime trips to reduce eye fatigue. It leaves only the speedo and some buttons illuminated and then any other gauge or light is only illuminated when it needs attention. It's an underappreciated feature that should be more universal and can't be that hard to implement when designing these systems. THATS MY SAAB DASH 😀In the past, I also owned 9-3 convertible and 5 door 9-3 and the night panel was awesome! It's like the greatest thing while driving at night! It really helps with the strain on your eyes! The Saab Night Panel function:
This function blacks out of the instrument panel, apart from the speedometer. This reduces the risk of distraction while driving at night. All the systems still work in the background and the appropriate guage or lamp will light up when the driver's attention is required. A good example of Saab's aircraft heritage.

Since you have to take apart a good chunk of dash, may as well cut a few extra wires...

The red/violet wire is the +12V supply to the touchscreen. Attached about two feet of additional wire (solder & heat-shrink) and brought it down to the driver's side. Cut a hole in the plastic, installed a switch.

One less night-time driving distraction.
Red needles world wide- you could only put booster gauge instead of battery in the right pocket(by doing this you would permanently lose the battery menu), white gauges are configurable from the menu, however.
Not if you disable it it from the side gauge. Can the battery volt still be displayed in the center? when going through the menus?
That's the correct statement. When you forcing it to be a boost gauge you have to disable voltage indicator and it would not be there at all.So on the red needle if you opt-in to display the boost on the right pocket (and have the temp on the left pocket) you have no more possibility to display volt?
at all?
Not if you get side gauge to be boost gauge on the red needles. White needles you can do it from the settings and still have battery in the center, I believe. In the Performance menu, voltage can still be displayed in the center of the DIC. But yeah, the pocket gauges can only be set to one thing at a time (without fiddling with the settings).
I'd have to check on voltage display in the center, I don't recall seeing being able to do that but I haven't looked really close either since on white needle GS cluster the pocket gauges are fully adjustable from the menu to choose whatever available gauges you want at any time. Not if you get side gauge to be boost gauge on the red needles. That would be awesome. I curious how they did it for white needles.I'd have to check on voltage display in the center, I don't recall seeing being able to do that but I haven't looked really close either since on white needle GS cluster the pocket gauges are fully adjustable from the menu to choose whatever available gauges you want at any time.
Somebody swapped it out. It's a really nice upgrade from the standard TourX cluster. Pretty EZ to do but perhaps a little pricey for some.I've got a general question about the instrument panel/gauge cluster on a 2018 Tour-X. I'm in the process of helping my brother in-law look for a replacement vehicle and came across a 2018 Tour-X that has a Regal GS instrument panel/gauge cluster. Is this something normal on 2018 Tour-X's?
Here's the link to the listing;
Usually it is supplied by these folks in US. 2014-2020 Uplevel / GS Cluster Upgrade and Retrofit.I see, wasn't sure if this was common on the early models. I have to say I like it more with the GS cluster, makes it look a little more sporty. Just wished that Buick had an option of putting in the Regal's GS's 3.6 engine.
Wow, someone did some bad things to it before they sold it. How rude of them to treat such a nice unique car so poorly.Looked at that car.
Dead battery
Check engine light
Tire(s) need balancing or something else?
Front bumper wings issue
Few scratches on the body
Tint with air bubbles
Ac quiet
Did not test trifecta
Did not open sunroof

If when switching your cruise control from off to on and you detect a significant change in performance, you'll know. Trust me, you'll feel the difference in driving dynamics.Hi, I took a look at the Tour-X this week and have a few questions.
I tried inserting a USB thumb drive with music on it and couldn't figure out how to access it through the info unit? I currently drive a 2019 Regal GS that has a different info unit and all I have to do for this is insert the drive, go to music and select it from the options.
How do you know it has the Trifecta tune and what are the steps to activate it?
