Has anyone replace their Tourx wheels?

20x9s with 245/40/20 tires fit perfectly. They tuck into the fender nicely--just flush with the fenders but not sticking out in the least. No rubbing or strange noises, plenty of clearance at the strut spring perch (well, 3/16" is what I call plenty). The wheels did come with almost paper thin centering rings, which I used, along with some smaller lug nuts.

Tires are 245/40/20 Vredesteins, which I bought based on the Tire Rack's rave reviews--plus they're quite affordable, too (about $190 each). Supposed to ride well and stay quiet, which were still priorities for me. I will say that if you're leery of ride quality getting worse with 20s, don't worry about it. I was a little concerned, but by picking the right tires and the right size, ride quality hasn't changed noticeably. There might be a little more tire noise, but it's hard to be sure. It's still VERY quiet. I have zero complaints about this upgrade and it transformed the entire car. 20s make this car look like it was designed to look.

Next up, getting rid of some badges and lowering the suspension.

Yeah...really love the look of 20's but really like the way the TourX rides. It eats up road trips in comfort and 20's can be harsh, then there are all the potholes here in NJ that will likely end up eating the wheels.

Finally got the Envisio Forged 20s that I ordered a while back. The 9.0s on the front have 255/35/20 on them and the 10" rears have 275/35/20.

They fill the guards up really well, speedo still reads about 2klms an hour (1 mph) more than the real speed. (I still think it needs to be lowered about an inch front and back...)

Revisiting this now that I'm getting closer to acquiring a TourX again. If Olds was able to fit 255/35/20 +20 in the front then I believe I should be able to squeeze 255/40/19 +20 without rubbing. A quick calculation shows that the two overall sizes are identical. I'm also curious if the TourX would be able to run this setup with the H&R lowering springs, considering that the Sports Tourer is somewhat lower by default.

Did I miss anything?

I'm running 255/35/20 et 38 on H&R springs. I have a little bit if rubbing when the trunk is loaded and I hit a big bump.

Oo that might change a few things for me, or I'll just have to keep an empty trunk at all times 😆
Do you have any pics by the way? That sounds like an awesome fitment

245/50-18 on 8" wheel with 40 offset is as large a tire I would go, considering snow packing. Think you will be close

Not the best photos, but I snapped a couple this afternoon.

Here’s my new wheels, just installed today. Wheels are called Atonement by Platinum. Almost oem specs, but offset is 35 instead of 40. Tire Rack provided the hub centric rings and lug nuts. I had the car up to 75 mph with no vibration.

I’ve got the factory set available for sale with lug nuts if anyone wants them, will post pictures tomorrow. Mint condition, no curb rash. Car has 19K miles.

I have Fifteen52 Turbomacs on order to put on mine. Aside from a small redrill and some hub rings coming from the UK it should be straightforward

Perhaps this was covered previously but if you are careful about tightening the lug nuts why do you need the hub centering rings?

You don't...just makes life easier to get it centered.

They help make sure everything's centered so there isn't any vibration. I've seen enough complaints over the years to warrant the $10 or so expense.
