The switch has arrived

We're thinking more of using the buttons to potentially wire in new or access existing accessories, like cargo area lighting, backup lights, etc. that would require basically a power source controlled through the switch.
 
Haven't gotten any further on this.

I don't have the pin-out for the #42568937 board, nor a '20 Encore GX Essence AWD service manual
Did you try that Chilton’s link I gave you?

Lemme get my front end back together and I’ll pull mine loose and look at the wiring. I have an Essence, so maybe it’s different? I also have a Fluke tone and probe kit. Maybe I can trace down those wires.

Question… have you put power to the board and then shorted the two solder pads where the button would go? You should see a voltage swap. What about checking continuity between the solder pads?
 
Nope, nope, haven't gotten that far into it at all - just collecting parts for a future mod.
No rush.
