Trifecta Performance Tune

It would be more interesting to see a tuned CXL Turbo vs. the GS. The HP should be about the same.

Tuned is more than the GS, the last hp figures from my data logs show my Regal at 291 with the Trifecta tune.

any other extras besides the tune???

The flex fuel engines will perform better with e85 than premium regardless if you have a tune or not. e85 burns hotter (less mpg) but is higher "octane" (105+).

e85 is about $1 cheaper than premium around here so losing a few mpg for the higher performance works out to about the same cost per mile driven. Personally I've only driven my Regal on one tankful of non e85 and that's what the dealer put in it.

Like I said it works out to the same amount per mile, it just seems cheaper since it's $50ish at the pump instead of $65-70ish. Plus I like the extra hp!!

i also am only running the E85 in the turbo. Definitely notice more HP with the tune and E85. Plus the exhaust tips dont get the carbon build up like the 93 octane. Only problem...not too many stations near me with E85

Do you have to wait until you're near empty or can you mix gas and E85? I haven't seen any at my local stations but by chance if I see a pump somewhere, I'd like to give it a try.

You can get a smart phone app that will show you where they are... just waiting for gas buddy to add E85 to their fuel optoin

You can have any combination of E85 and standard gasoline.

Q: (Directed at vince or royhobbs or whomever can answer)

What kind of mpg can I expect with the tune? ON e85? on 93?

I'm in SE Mich and am considering getting the tune but the whole reason I got the car was mpg & fun factor. I'm logging 3000 miles/month and avg 27-28 overall on 87, all stock

FYI - you should not run a tuned turbo engine on anything less than premium.

Factory tune recommends 87. But that's why I asked because I know I probably won't be able to run 87. My cobalt SS req'd premium.

I located a station on the internet a few miles from my house that sells E85. I guess it's a novelty here as a couple of on-lookers asked me about the fuel.
