What did you do to your Regal today?

I do trust the Dealership I go to, our Son works there and takes good care of us.
I know that he's the same with all his customers, that way they are repeat customers.
If he didn't work there that might be a totally different situation.
Yes, you are lucky your son works there. I'm assuming he is a service advisor.
I don't trust the techs. Some of the issues I have had at Buick were overfill oil and scratched my rear door. Also, when my son took his Elantra to Hyundai for an oil change, they over filled it as well. Then they broke a large plastic cover under the car when they put it on the lift. The tech didn't say that he broke it. Found it when driving home on the highway and heard noise coming from under the car, just hanging there.
Maybe I just have a dark cloud over me when it comes to dealerships LOL :whacko:

Even though the dealer I go to has helped me out a ton, I still take everything they say with a grain of salt. I trust my local mechanic more than them, for sure.

There are a lot of shady dealerships out there, and no one should trust them until they prove themselves.

Yes, our son is a Service Advisor.
He has a couple pretty good mechanics that he makes sure work on his customers and families cars.
Most of Dan's customers ask for him by name because they know he's gonna take good care of them.
He tries to schedule his appointments when these mechanics have openings, but the other mechanics
aren't too bad either, he just has his favorites!

I have had my problems with Dealerships.
I won't get into my last experience at the Ford Dealership, but it cost me over $1000 dollars and didn't fix my problem.
I finally took it out to Dan and his guys fixed it for under $200, $160 of which was rebuilding the Fuel Pump at my request.
Rebuilding the Fuel Pump was the next step at the Ford Dealership, and they were trying to charge me $625.
Dan's mechanic figured out, it was a $30 Relay!
So far the GMC/Buick Dealership has done a great job for me, even on my last car, a Ford!

I Purchased a Complete Set of 3D MAXider Floor Liners on Amazon the other day for $49.01.
For a Complete Set of Black they are $151.09, Front Set of Gray are $74.24.
Right now a Complete Set of Tan are $59.44, Front Set is $59.59 and Rear Set is $64.79.

They are similar to the Weather Tech Floor Liners you see advertised everywhere.
The Floor Liners I purchased were Tan, they only offer them in Tan, Gray and Black.
My car has the Cashmere and Cocoa Interior and I didn't think the Gray or Black would work.
One of the Photos on Amazons website showed a Mercedes with a Similar Cashmere/Cocoa Interior.
In the Photo of the Mercedes they had the Tan Floor Liners on the Cocoa Carpet and it didn't
look too bad, so I decided I'd give Tan a Chance and go that route.

My Floor Liners came today via USPS.
The Box was undamaged and the Floor Liners were in perfect shape, no unwanted bends!
Put the Floor Liners in my Regal and they look just about the same as the Mercedes did in the photo.
The Liners didn't look like they would fit at first, but they slid right in and fit very snugly into place.
So far so good, thinking about ordering the Trunk Liner at $69.11.

BTW, the Floor Liners don't move or slide as the backing is designed to grab the carpet.
With the fit being so snug, there isn't really any place for them to move or slide to!

I gave the Regal a good wash and drying. Thought I would try something other than the liquid paste cleaner wax I have been using for years. So I bought and applied the 303 Graphene, it is the latest in protective products.

I bought the Weathertech floor liners for my 2013 Regal and transfered them to my 2016 Regal when I got it. When I bought them there were only 2 colors available, so I went with the black. My car also has the Cashmere and Cocoa Interior. I see that Weatherteck has the floor liners in Cocoa for a few years now @ $109 for the fronts which would be perfect for our interiors but I can't see buying them over again.

I wanted the full set of Weather Tech and the best price I found was around $197 for the Cocoa.
Not saying that they might not be cheaper elsewhere, I just never found them cheaper.

I really like these liners so far, they fit perfectly and are very well made.
The color in my picture yesterday looks way off, it's not as bad as it looks!
I think the Suns Glare caused it to look weird, kind of a Green Tint in the area where the
sun was coming thru the window.
Below I've included a couple pictures I took today without the Sun, it was overcast
and sprinkling outside.

Getting ready for spring I got the 67K mile check (oil and filter change, etc) and got the front break pads replaced. Whole I was at the dealership I had the driver seatbelt (long story) and both sun visors replaced (damn visor door had broken off on both).
Next week I’ll have the rear bumper cover repaired (either a car or shopping cart hit it in a parking lot) and some chipped paint retouched. Should be looking good as new when done.

Washed and Dried my Car and my wife's SUV around 6:00pm Monday night.
It was a beautiful day yesterday (Tuesday), over 70° but on the windy side.
Well late last night (early AM) we had a sprinkle, just enough to get things wet.
Went out this morning to wipe down the vehicles and both had dirt where the
water had already dried.

I went ahead and Sprayed both vehicles down and then dried them again.
Didn't feel the need to wash them again, neither of us had driven them since
Monday morning.
Not sure if the Dirt came from our roads or if it was dirty rain, but I wanted it
off, I can't stand dirty cars!
Should have gone with lighter colors, that would have hidden the dirt.
My Car is Dark Sapphire Blue Metallic and my wife's is Oynx Black.

I take it you do not have garages?

I do, but as long as I have a wife I won't have a garage!
Our garage is more of a storage unit.
I really can't blame her totally, I do have my lawn equipment and tools in the garage.
Those would be in my Shed if it wasn't so packed with stuff for the pool and lawn furniture.

Hmmmm, quite the dilemma!

I had a Garage Sale one time and sold enough that we could park a car in the garage.
My wife pulled in and couldn't open her door, so she just started piling more Sh*t out there!
She never told me why she wasn't parking in the garage until I asked months later!
Turns out, all I would have had to do is relocate my Tool Chest, an easy task since it's on Rollers!
Sure wish she would have allowed me to park my car in the garage!

When I bought mine new in 2017, the wife's SUV came out and mine went in and is still there w all the other stored stuff.

I have a 2 1/2 car garage that is about 2 years old. About little under 1/2 of it I use for storage of tool boxes, yard care equipment, compressor, bikes and miscellaneous crap. I have hangers for the bikes in winter to save room. I also got some wall organizers to help with saving space. I make sure I keep enough clear to work on the cars when needed. We don’t park the cars in it. I used to have a 1 car garage that I needed to take everything out of in order to work on the car. I don’t miss that!!!!

My wife gets mad if I park in the Driveway, doubt she'd like me parking in the
garage if we could park in it!
Although, last year when they were replacing the Sewage Drains on our street I
parked in the driveway every day!
Instead of fighting I just park on the street, I'm insured (good coverage too)!

I can only wish I had a 2 1/2 car garage.
I only have a 1 car garage, the house is about 55 yrs old.
This was back in the day when they made Very Small Garages and you were
expected to park a 1960's thru mid 1970's car in it (yes, a Boat).
I'm not sure how anyone ever got a car parked in their garage around here?

If I work on my car, it's in the Driveway, out in the cold!
But so far, I haven't had to do any work on my Regal with the exception of changing
the Halogen Headlight and Fog Light Bulbs to LED's, putting in New Buick Emblem
Puddle Lights and New Floor Mats and Floor Liners.
I did sit out in my car (in the driveway) and changed out the HMI, Radio Module
and USB for the Car Play/Android Auto Upgrade I did last Spring/Summer.
I have Thousands of dollars in Tools in my garage and wouldn't you know it, the only
Tools I needed for any of that were Trim Removal Tools, I had to go buy a set!

I have had other work done on my car, but so far it's gone in to the Dealership my
son works at.
I still have about another year and a half left on my Aftermarket Warranty and I'll take
it in for things that are covered (for sure).
I even have them change the Oil, Oil Filter, Air Filter, Cabin Filter, Belt, Hoses, Rotate Tires, etc...
With my son taking care of me, I'm sure it will be done right and needless repairs won't
be preformed.

Definitely an added bonus having your son as a GM mechanic!

Did some intake/air box work, trying to find out how to get the baffles out of the intake lol

My sons not a Mechanic, he's a Service Advisor.
Dan knows his sh*t and won't let anyone take advantage of me or any of his customers.
His customers normally come in or call in and ask for him, he takes good care of them!
