What did you do to your Regal today?

My sons not a Mechanic, he's a Service Advisor.
Dan knows his sh*t and won't let anyone take advantage of me or any of his customers.
His customers normally come in or call in and ask for him, he takes good care of them!
What was he before he became a service advisor?

It's been so long I can't remember, sorry.
I'd be lucky if I can remember what my last job was.
That's a sign that I'm either old or getting old!

I use to work on my own cars and our kids cars.
When I worked on their cars they always had to be there working on it with me (my rule).
I was hoping they would learn how to do these things themselves.
I try my hardest to not work on cars now, my back just can't take it!

I removed the window tint from my GS today. The back window was all bubbled and some of the doors were peeling. All 4 doors were easy, but the rear was a PITA !!
Had to do the ammonia/black bag trick. I removed the rear deck panel and the 2 side panels. If the rear headrests would come off, it would of made it a bit easier. I'll leave the panels off until it gets re-tinted, hopefully this week.

Take you car to an auto re-upholsterer and they'll take the rear head rests out, probably for free. Then, you can put them back in after you're done. Good luck.

Same here...just oil changes these days.

I don't even do the Oil Changes these days.
I have a nice Creeper and all the Tools I could ever want, and they just
sit (just kidding about having all the tools I could ever want, I always
want more).

It's just easier for me to take it out to my Son and have them do the Oil Change.
Actually he'll pick it up and deliver it back to me if I want him too!
They Check All the Fluid Levels and Rotate my Tires while doing the Oil Change.
They do use Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil and Change the Filter.

So I put her new wheels on yesterday. Love the look, all she needs now is for me to go and pickup the coil-overs at the shop and she'll be sitting nice and low. The lowering springs don't drop it enough.

This house that I have now has 13' ceilings in the garage so I could put in a lift and have been thinking about. But in the end I am not going to, just not worth the money but I would bet I would have a bunch of friends all of a sudden. LOL I still change oil, rotate tires and my heavy duty floor jack with jack stands work good enough for that.

Mine would if I pulled them out of the garage.
I have a Good Hydraulic Jack and 4 Heavy Duty Jack Stands.
Can't remember the last time I pulled any of them out.

I installed a K&N filter and ZZP silicone intake on it. I’m sure it won’t make much of a difference but I had to do it. Lol. That and I have to take it off if I go in for warranty work but it isn’t hard to take off.
I also installed a Pedal Commander! Man what a difference in acceleration!!!! It is on Sport +0 and it feels like a different car acceleration wise. I know it doesn’t add horsepower but it did give me the power the unreactive stock pedal wasn’t allowing me to use. People are so against these things but it was worth every penny in my book!!!!! Don’t knock it till you rock it!!!!

I installed a spoiler two days ago. We got a lot of rain here yesterday and a few spots in the tape came up. Fingers crossed that the tape stays intact from here on out.20210501_200252.webp

LOL. Driving home from work today, I was on a back road, hit the throttle, and after shifting, the car started a rhythmic stuttering. I tested a few more times... at partial throttle it was OK, but more than 40-50%, it stuttered. I was luckily only a few miles from home, so I took it easy. I had a spare set of spark plugs on hand, so I swapped them out, took the car out, still stuttering.

This time, the traction light came on, and the CEL started blinking. I immediately turned around, went home, and put the OBDII scanner on it. It showed a misfire on bank 2. At this point, I spent a few hours online, calling, and driving to different shops, looking for an ignition coil. I finally found one at a Buick dealership about a half hour away. Using the wife's Lincoln, I went and picked it up, and came home to swap it in.

I took the car back out, and it ran smooth as silk. I did a few semi-hard pulls, and it felt like the day I bought it. I have put a ton of miles on this car in the short amount of time that I have owned it, and it has treated me well. So glad to have it back up and running in short order!

Glad she's running good for you again Flow.
I thought mine was running a bit sluggish today when I took the neighbor to
her Dr. Appointment, but then I realized that I had the AC Blowing pretty hard.
Once I turned the AC down a bit it started running better.

I'm glad it was an easy fix for you.

Sorry to bump an old post but I was just looking at that ZZP silicone intake tube since the cold air intakes are stupid expensive and don’t really add much to the car. I already have the K&N drop-in filter and i was thinking of adding this too. Do you notice any sound difference? That’s all I’m really looking for lol.

Took my Regal for a nice little trip yesterday.
My Niece had her High School Graduation Party and it was about an hour drive to the party.
On the way there I had a Car on the Highway make a Left Hand turn right in front of me.
I was doing 65mph when I hit the brakes, dropping my speed to about 30mph.
Something very similar happened to me last week when returning from my grandson's Karate Class.

On the way home from the party I had an SUV pull out in front of me, again I was doing 65mph.
There was a car in the Passing Lane so I couldn't pull into that lane.
Funny thing, there wasn't a car in my Rearview mirror, it was clear for miles.
I was doing a whopping 25mph after hitting the brakes.

I know it's not my driving, if I wouldn't have been paying attention I would have hit all three vehicles!
My Brakes sure have been getting a good workout!
Only thing I can figure out is that the Wax I used a month ago had rendered my car invisible?
My DRL's are also Working, so I know they're not the problem!

Last weekend I put in a throttlebody spacer for a boost guage, put in a boost guage, put in 2.5 catbacks, downpipe, injen intake, BNR blowoff and plasti dipped my rims. lol

Waiting on jerry to get back to me on my tune, its been a month or so since I requested my stock tune, but since then i made 2 or 3 posts and emailed him with all my updates and waiting for a retune. The car is cutting power out right now on the bnr baseline tune so Im waiting for a few tweaks and ill post my car on here when its working better lol.

From what i hear poor guys getting slammed, so I can wait lol

Did an oil change on my 17 GS, going on road trip, like fresh oil and filter for the high speed runs.

Rear wheel bearings/brakes/discs/oil changes/tire rotation on both GS's. Going with drilled/slotted for the non-beater. The wheel bearing horror stories are completely blown out, one of mine, the bearings just fell out as the last screw loosened, the other one (who had already spent it's life living near the ocean) popped out in under a minute with a little help from a chisel. Doing everything should be under an hour per side if you've never done it, less if you have.
