What is your Fuel Consumption to date ?

Is there something wrong with mine?
I have 8,000 miles and never see the average higher then 24mpg.
It's an AWD, wife's daily driver to work (31 miles ) and short city drive ( kids school and shopping).
Other drivers habits said to be on the hard excel. Wife's does not have a heavy foot.
Let me know if this is something I need to address with the dealer? I have other issues to resolve as well
Thank you,

Excessive idling will kill your fuel economy. Especially during colder winter months.

It only idles when auto start used. Other then that it in motion.

I know that the mpg is not as good on my 2014 Premium Encore, as it was on the 2013 Convenience Encore I had. I will check when I go somewhere, or the weather get warmer. My only complaint about the Encore is how long it takes to heat up the cabin. It has electric seat and steering wheel warmers, but it takes a long time for the motor to warm up enough to make the cabin heater work.

Concur - I know when it’s below freezing…. It may indeed take a good while to heat it up the cabin.

But I try to look at it as perhaps a good thing, for it’s a small efficient motor & puts out less waste heat also.

Took ours about 700 break-in miles for the motor to loosen up enough to turn the quoted highway numbers. Getting average 31 Hwy now @ 70mph on a '14 Premium AWD. We're happy.

27.5 overall. Not bad when my Trailblazer got about 16, which is why I traded it for the Encore.

computer says lifetime is sitting at 9.2l/100km after 10000km on mine. Seems spot on with the (relatively) stop 'n start driving done around here.

Three weeks of ownership, three fill ups and all mpgs around 31. 2013 Base Encore. 80% highway driving on the FWD.

Almost a year since delivery, just under 25k miles, my OnStar RemoteLink app says lifetime mileage is 30mpg. :headbang:

I've kept track of every tank of gas since delivery with an app on my smartphone. To date, worst mileage was on a tank of mid-grade all stop and go traffic for 23.7mpg. Best tank was high-grade gas all on the highway for 33.6mpg.

We average 32mpg with mostly highway driving (probably a 70/30 split), not any idling or warming up to speak of…was thinking that wasn't very good until I saw a lot of folks in the mid-high 20s…we don't hypermile or anything like that, but are relatively careful, don't speed a lot, use cruise control on the highway, etc.

Anyone able to break into the 40's on tankful yet? Fwd?

Best I've been able to do on a road trip with a Diablo Sport MPG booster tune was 35+ @73 MPH.

I've shifted to 91/93 octane premium, 'Top Tier' gas and put the 91 Octane Power tune on now, but don't have a road trip coming up to check and see what that does to mileage. Sure helps performance and since I drive so few miles annually (5K) mileage isn't the issue it used to be when I worked for a living! 🙂

A little followup. Just finished a road trip with the Diablo Sport 91 Octane tune using Premium gas. Trip up was via back roads with almost no interstates involved and the fastest I drove was 65 on those highways. Trip back was all interstate and I was clipping along at 73mph almost all the time.

Mileage was consistent on both legs of the trip : 36.2Mpg. With that mileage and the increase in performance, I'm tickled pink!

Owned the Encore for 6 months with 5000 miles now, lifetime average is 28. Virtually all is around town -- only three or 4 short distance trips of less than 100 miles. Pretty pleased.
