Has anyone replace their Tourx wheels?

I have yet to see a German company busted for faking TUV compliance. China is the wild west of manufacturing. They can make fantastic stuff and they can make rubber dog poo for three cents a unit or less.
You got the point right. I think it is down to what price people wanna pay really. If somebody buys legit stuff from legit vendor, Made in China is actually better than Made Elsewhere for most of the time, because China has experience and manpower to do things right.
However, there are people who wanna pay 1/5 the price for the same stuff (even less, have you seen $1 phone cases on AliExpress), and imo they are not less of a scam than the Chinese counterfeit makers.

Just here to echo the question on where you got your Opel grille badge. From what I’ve found so far, the whole grille has to be replaced due to the Opel badge not being a direct fit swap for the tri-shield. Not having much luck finding a source yet.

And more on topic, this is a helpful thread. I run winter snows on my Chev SS, but went with the steelies used on the Caprice PPV.

Will probably get a set of aftermarket for the X one the ContiSilents are in need of replacement, and will run snows on the factory wheels.

The Opel and Vauxhall badges are all over ebay- I run a 112mm rear and have a 138mm front, which will require a ring adapter to be made as the Buick emblem is larger diameter. There's a guy who can 3D print the ring, but it's pretty easy with a Dremel and some scrap plastic to make something that will work. Easier to just make a filler piece than to replace a whole grille- even if you had to pay someone $20 to 3D print the part. There are web sites where one can commission 3D parts to be made.

Awesome, thanks for the added detail! We have a 3DP at work, and now that I think about it, it would be a simple piece to model up. The other badging, as you say, is pretty easy to find online.

Just a note - if you have adaptive cruise, the badge is not the same. Details can be found on this post - note the badge with adaptive vs non-adaptive is a different part number...and carries a much higher price:

Ah, good to know, as our car has both DC1 and DC2 (didn't really want the latter, but that's what we ended up with). I wonder if the Holden emblem would be easier, then? I'll have to poke around and see if I can find whether there are two versions of the Holden grille badge like the Buick has.

Tire size question. Using a tire size calculator, I note that the originals are a size 235 50 18. So, by changing to a wider tire, say 255, and reducing sidewall to a 45, but keeping the stock 18 inch rims. It looks like I still lose overall diameter, and thereby circumference also.

So, I gotta wonder. What's wrong with going to a 255 50? Or a 265 45? Will a 255 50 be too tall? Or a 265 45 too wide for the stock rims?

I'm new to this. I've put slightly wider and taller tires on every vehicle I've owned, but only slightly.

So.. how big can I go on the tourx? Without spacers, or anything else crazy.

Thanks in advance.

If I stick with the stock wheels, I might go with a 245/45R18. I like the slight reduction diameter and it seems like there is a good choice of tires in that size.

255/50/18 seems like it would work - maybe just a tad stretched on stock 8” rim given sidewall height. Circumference would somewhere around +2.9%

I remember reading on a tire size vs rim size chart and the maximum suggested tire width for an 8" rim is 245.
