Has anyone replace their Tourx wheels?

I know it will only further cement my "geek" 🤓 status but I think the car would look great with body colored steel wheels with baby moon hubcaps (trisheild on them of course) and trim rings.

Just pulled the trigger on some Equinox take-off wheels. They'll be for my winter set.

After months of constant searching for great condition take-offs from several models, I gave up. Winter is coming. I ordered a set of the Verde Saga for my snow tires.

So to tag along on this thread, I got the regal Sportback preferred II and I actually really love how conservative the rims are, they look more luxury, but is there any way I can make them more comfortable? When it’s time to replace my tires, can I put a bigger, cushier tire on it? Otherwise I’d be tempted to maybe buy the 16” wheels which look more bland IMO, but then they’d be more comfortable.

Not bad. Same size and bolt pattern? I wonder if the buick center caps will fit?
I'm hoping the Buick caps will fit, 'cause the wheels I just bought from ebay don't come with any! Most research I can find is that the last year or two GM cars had the same size centercaps so I'm assuming they will. When I get them, I'll find out.

These Equinox wheels are the same 5x115 bolt pattern, same 18" diameter as the TourX. Offset is 43 vs stock 40 (close enough)
They're narrower, though - 7" vs 8" wide. I plan to run 215/55 winter tires on it, which the tire calculators say is the same overall diameter as the stock 235/50 so it won't mess up the speedo/odo.

Post up some pics when they're on. I can't stand the factory wheels. It's my wife's car and she could care less, but they drive me nuts.

Will do. It'll be a while though, as I still need to order tires and TPMS sensors. I'll check the center caps quickly enough, though. Wheels come in next week.

Looking at wheels myself for after the winter and am finding options in the 20" size, but offset is 20mm with an 8.5" wheel. has anyone ran that little offset and have photos?

I would be afraid of mopar rims due to clearance on the outer fenders

My Wheels were delivered Saturday.

3 were what I ordered, the fourth had a different Wheel pattern bolt circle drilling!

They are shipping me the correct wheel and sending me a return label.
I'll post a picture but I'm buried this week.

Update.

2 Weeks to get correct rim, coming from Apex , the manufacturer.
Will send mismatch back, as they sent a return label.

Snow Tires, wheels, TPS's, Center Rings, New Lug Nuts, Mount & Balance, comes out just under $1,000

Advanti "Hybris", 18x8, 5x115, 35 mm offset, same as factory. BBwheelsonline.com . Great company, fast ship, best price I found on this particular wheel.

So the center caps do fit these Equinox wheels perfectly:

I think the factory offset is 40mm. Is the 35mm further in the wheel well or further out? Is the difference noticeable?

My research led me to 35mm and the wheels look the same in the fender wells as original. 5mm is almost unnoticeable. A 35mm offset would be tucked in 5mm more than 40.

Shouldn't mess up suspention geometry much, which is good.

isnt a 35mm offset going to put the wheels further out, not in? getting you closer to the fenderwell versus the suspension components? Id presume clearance is still fine, but just wanted to clarify

.
Offset is 5 mm less....so wheels will be farther in or, 10mm less track. Not wide track like a 59 and after Pontiac.
As they said back in the day compared to a wide track Pontiac, Chevy looked like it had ballerina slippers on.
