Navigation Service Has Expired

I get that pop up now that OnStar expired. It comes up every time I enlarge the nav map, but my navigation still works well and the annoying pop up goes away quickly. I did get the SD card with my Preferred model, but as I understand, the base model has no navigation option, so that may be why they want something removable? Last week, I got a pop up that my navigation map was updating on its own, and I ended up with a few more details, like store names showing. Not sure how, without OnStar...

This nav card issue is very interesting. I bought a 2018 TourX in Oklahoma in May and had it shipped to Southern California. It had no card. I have been fighting with the dealer ever since to get my card. They just mailed it to me, and I took it to my local dealer for installation. They charged me $70. What's the big deal about installing it? Is it more than just dropping it in the slot? This sounds like a scam to me-

Have you tried inserting it into the receptacle by yourself and see what happens?
