Trifecta Performance Tune

Vince told me the tune is optimized for either e85 and 93 octane premium.

I got a email from Vince today telling me that just by switching to full E85 with his Trifecta tune I have (whatever the newest one is), that you will see a 20 whp/ 20 wtq gain over using the 93 Octane Trifecta tune. :headbang:

"Yeah, these engines LOVE E85. I've been running E85 in my car for almost a month now. Some of the more recent optimizations I've done to the tune pertain to when running E85 in it. I'll send these to you tomorrow.

Wait till Vince starts messing with the auto 6 speed shift points. I believe you will see some very fast Regal CXL Turbo's.

He told me hes already unlocked the TCM but hasn't messed around much with actual tuning yet.

If you think about it, our transmissions are set up for fuel economy right now, not performance.

Good, he can be the guinea pig with his tranny. 😛

I'll let him use mine if he wants.

I was the first of a lot of things with the Trifecta tune on my HHR SS, he never let me down and my car never went to GM once even with
+375 whp.

I just installed the tune today in my turbo. I have a 6 speed manual and it really pulls in 2nd and 3rd. i'm impressed. This tune is money well spent.

I am leasing my car, when I go to turn my lease in would I just reload the stock map and everything wouldn't be traceable against a warranty or such? Same thing for taking it in when it needs work? Is the tune switched on and off with the cruise button now? I am a salesman at a Buick dealership and consider myself pretty knowledgeable but I was caught off guard when a customer said there were some people hacking the computer and creating a turbo pressure gauge on the center driver information center screen so it was shown with the speed and the screen was customizable other ways. Is this something Vince could feature as well? I guess the car already has the info in the computer so its plausible. Sorry for all the questions, I've been lurking a while I just bought my T03 lease last week.

Reflashing it back would probably be sufficient but who knows if there are other ways for GM to tell. If Onstar can read our computers, what else can they do that they're not telling us.

They can see that it was reflashed but that's about it

From my understanding the tune Vince provides is for the Engine Contol Module and the turbo gauge and others you speak of are part of the Body Control Module. Sellers seems to be the only dealership around who is doing the non engine mods, they did my keyless entry 🙂
It would be cool if Vince can do those as well, Sellers charges $250 for the "technology mods" and it doesnt seem worth it to me.

Any updates for this tune or videos of it in action?

What kind of updates?

The Trifecta tune has been done for awhile now and being sold, 61 whp and 51 wtq over stock.

The only revisions are tweaks for personal preference and/or testing out new stuff.

There is now a select-a-tune option also.

With the amount of updates peppered throughout the thread I wanted to see if Vince was still testing/tinkering with any aspect of the tune.

This post is mainly why I asked.

Nothing with the Trans yet.

But I will point you to this thread, there is more info besides the select-a-tune in that thread.
Post #11 will give you some real world results vs. a Cobalt SS Turbo with a BNR 2871GT turbo swap.
