I don't know why some people here need 0-60 and quarter mile times to decide to tune their car. If the tune makes the car more fun to drive and the transmission shift better that makes it worth the price of admission. I know one thing for sure, my butt dyno is much happier after I tuned my car.

Numbers don't anything to me, it's the feeling I get when I hammer the throttle and blow past other cars on the roadway that puts a smile on my face. Specially those pickup truck drivers, they think their V8 powered truck is fast until I show them that this little turbo 4 means serious business.

I will stop by the dealer next week to see what we can do. Got the mirrors also if I can get the lights under the mirrror working I would be happy. the spoiler is at the paint shop getting painted!

In reality turbo powered cars aren't that fast off the line because the turbo has to spool, so 0-60 and quarter mile times don't tell the whole story. Where they really shine is when you are cruising along and hammer it, there's no lag what so ever and the needle just keeps climbing until you get out of the throttle.

Looks like someone did it and did not work.

The switch has arrived

GM will decline it first, the vehicle is not serviced, if a questionable warranty repair. Then it goes into arbitration with GM and the owner has to prove that it didn't cause the repair that was needed. There's more details, but it's up to each owner to decide.

So the question I have is if anyone can confirm how the "switches" work. I am wondering if you could use these switches to trigger other things, but I am concerned they don't actually switch. I have a feeling they just provide a momentary contact a BCM uses as an input and it does all the work. So my first question is, are all of the slots in the connector wired from the factory? Second, has anyone checked what the output is across the pins when a switch is depressed or released? Not sure what I would use these extra buttons for but hopeful they could have an alternate use.

You could also bypass the BCM and use the output voltage to trigger anything else you wanted; with relays and servos (there’s room for them under the console), your imagination is the only limit. Well, that and expertise. Okay, TWO limits. And money. THREE limits, but that’s it. Maybe.

Do you have the part number for the switch and folding mirror?

I’ll try to find the box it came with or the receipt...the mirror install worked but it was a pain to remove an install the new wiring!...the result is that now the mirrors gold upon locking the car; when you unlock the mirrors open up and you have a welcome light under the mirror visible at night!...the camera is still inoperable!

Thanks a lot! The way that mirrors opens up really looks very cool! Does it require any software programming or it would be ready for use after changing the mirror?
Perhaps you could upload a video of the welcoming mirrors and make us jealous 🙂

No software update required for the mirrors!...from what I understand to activate the cameras I need to install the front one and software activation is required however it cannot be done locally!...I’m really thinking about shipping the car to Germany and having them do it!

When I ordered the mirrors I told them I need the wiring that goes along with them. So I got 2 mirrors 2 harness and door panel switch that has the mirror fold option. The mirrors work without the switch automatically when you lock/unlock the car!...I just wanted to have it complete!
