Coding in additional information pages/themes to Guage Cluster

@GTPprix Just finished installing the uplevel dash in my 2019 Sportback. It looks great and was truly plug and play. I haven't got a chance to mess with it too much but did discover the boost gauge is functional in the pocket gauge.
Thank you so much for the feedback!!!! So great to hear the gauge is operational, was REALLY on the fence about that one so thank you so much for confirmation! 🙂

You're welcome! Thank you as well for expanding the original projects into a product offering for all. The jump from the mid-level to the up-level cluster is definitely impressive.

It really is one of those things that makes you scratch your head as to why it never gets offered as a stand alone add on/option. Lots of up level vehicles just have that bare 4.2" unit and it just looks so unpolished. Thanks again for the feedback super excited for you guys about the boost gauge thats great news!

2019 - getting the itch to do this - ugh.

Can someone confirm if the following is available:

Outside temp
Boost pressure

It's mind boggling to me that outside temp is only available on the infotainment home screen, which is almost never used. So annoying.

No, outside temperature isn't displayed anywhere on the new cluster. At least not anywhere that I have seen so far.
But, I don't think that's abnormal. I haven't seen it displayed on any pictures of the white needle GS/up-level clusters either.

Boost is displayed on a 0-100 percent scale, no real pressure readings. I'm not sure if that is a percentage of commanded boost or gauge pressure based on a programmed max. Whatever it is, the car is not stingy with it. The needle gets pretty lively, even with what I would consider to be light to normal throttle inputs.

Just an FYI since I think you are all here LOL I know a few of you have 2018 units waiting to be processed those will process this week. Sorry for the delay wanted to get those done in one batch which should in theory result in quicker overall time for them.

Recieved my 2019 cluster today. Thanks a bunch for making this available, really looking forward to the new layout when I get around to installing it.

You're most welcome!!

2018 guys with clusters in processing: The site somehow had a glitch where it would display the pocket gauges option for 2018 whereas it should only have displayed it as 2018.5+ . as those clusters are the only ones that supported this. The site has been fixed and the performance menu portion of the option remains unchanged, that being said we are going to take care of this so please keep an eye on your email as your order progresses for more information; thank you!

Did anyone notice graphic change for wagons in the 8" cluster (when lift-gate is open - does it show sedan animation?). Also, does GPS goes on the cluster's screen as well?

Can anyone confirm that red needle can have pocket gauges enabled? In terms of being able to customise what is listed on them.

someone on a Facebook group mentioned only white needles can have this programmed/unlocked.

He already has, look at message #168.

The red needles do not support pocket gauge customization (and I apologize for that error on the site letting that be an option!) although I am curious which facebook group this is in would like to make sure we have everyone on the same page 🙂

I believe it’s being discussed in Buick Regal TourX group

So what would a Red Needle be able to display?

My goal would be to see the following:
engine oil pressure
engine oil temprature
transmission fluid temperature

engine coolant temperature
MPG

The sporty items such as 0-60, G, etc would be just icing

So, car info menu will display the following:
speed, average fuel economy(horizontal bar), economy trend (graph), top fuel consumers, trip timer, fuel economy for last 25,50 miles (vertical bar), tire pressure , oil life, fuel range and instant economy, trip A,B distance and average speed and fuel economy.
performance menu:
G-force meter, friction bubble (works only side to side), x to y speed performance timer, lap time, oil temp, oil pressure, battery voltage, trans fluid temp, engine boost.
Two side pockets are showing engine oil temp on the left and battery on the right.
It seems like you would need to have performance menu enabled, to display desired parameters.
P.S. Needles to say, how cool is the GPS on the middle of the speedometer.
P.P.S Thank you Chris @GTPprix for making this possible. I got close to understanding programming of it, but have no access to VCI files and have no idea what else goes on the brand new one, other than vin and environmental code . I think I can make used one to work, though )))
P.P.P.S I'll upload the pictures later today.

When you say this, are you referring to the turn by turn instructions in the cluster, or the full map like the Opel/Vauxhall/Holden variants are capable of?

That's awesome!!! I'd be curious to see what it looks like in Touring Mode as well. In the few reviews that show it, it's always in Sport Mode.

My white needle cluster does not have this capability after the upgrade. @GTPprix, is this feature possible on the 2018.5+ clusters? My guess is no, but thought I'd ask for clarification 🙂

It seems like there are some interesting differences between the two versions.

Car info continue...
