My wife and I both drive LeSabres daily:

1989 LeSabre Limited coupe, Ruby Red, 218,500 miles. Original engine and transmission, virtually trouble-free since new.

1990 LeSabre Limited coupe, Gunmetal Gray, 68,000 miles. Purchased in 2009 with only 44,000 miles.

Centurion, nice 89 Coupe. Hope the 90 looks just as good. I am jealous 🙂. I had a 91 sedan that I loved but always wanted the coupe.

2000 LEsabre Custom with a paltry 181,000 miles or 294,000 kms!!!
Uses no oil, shifts and drives as new.
I love my Buick!!!! 😀

Hi exploreco97, thanks for your comments. For some reason, the system did not allow me to attach multiple photos, but here's a shot of the 1990 coupe.

Another shot of the 1989 coupe, to which I've recently added (since these photos were taken) a set of the beautiful cast aluminum wheels from an '89 Electra T-Type.

My '59 Buick Electra and '71 Buick Centurion are in the garage!

174,000 miles. The cruise control went out at 140,000 and the transmission went kaput last week.

Been gone from here for a while. But just picked it up today. My new pride and joy will post pictures soon.

1990 Sedan 124,8xx $1000 Very Clean 😉.

I've got a whopping 86,000 miles on my 1996 LeSabre, and am planning an overhaul since the owners did not take very good care of engine components, and the car was a regular visitor to the NW coastal region (RUST)

80,000 miles and ready for another UIM and gasket replacement. Losing about a 1/2 inch of antifreeze every week in the reservoir tank. I don't think the first mechanic used the upgraded parts when I had it done at 60,000 miles 3 years ago. 🙁

130,000 on my LeSabre. 160,000 on the Olds. Intake manifold plenum and a radiator on the Olds is about the only problems I've had.

170000 on my 97 lesabre 134000 on my 2000

Just about to turn 90k. I've put 17k on since I bought it in November '11.

It appears, you are waiting for failure, rather than doing regular (pro-active) maintenance.

Actually I have a 2000 Regal with 213,000. Had and have again tranny issues but it still works and goes like stink. Been into the tranny valves but never been into the engine.

Have our 3rd and 4th LeSabre Limiteds now. 1st was an 88 that I drove from 19,000 up to 226,000 miles, then my parents took it and ran it up to 279,000. Original engine and transmission. 2nd was a 94 that we drove to 378,000. Engine replaced at about 200k and transmission rebuilt about 290k. The one I drive now is an 05 with 222,000 miles on it. Replaced front wheel bearings at a cost of about $250. Water pump will be replaced tomorrow and it shifts hard when hot which I have been told is a pressure control solenoid in the transmission. Our other LeSabre is a 2000 that we bought from a friend entering a nursing home with 23,000 miles on it when it was 7 years old. My wife is driving that one now and if my 05 ever wears out I will take the 2000 and run the miles up on that. I do industrial sales and put on 50,000+ miles/year between business and personal use. Every one of my LeSabres were/are great cars and the newer ones kept getting better. I wish they hadn't stopped building them.

Came across this thread from a couple years ago and thought I should update. My 05 is up to 327,000 miles now. Biggest issue has been wheel bearings with each one replaced 2 to 3 times. Transmission shifting hard was taken care of by replacing pressure control solenoid in transmission. Best car I have ever owned. We sold the 2000 to our daughter at about 100,000 miles. I bought a 2004 in AZ last summer with 98000 miles on it and we have it up to about 133,000. The body on the AZ car has no rust anywhere, but the car has been a bit of a money pit. My son just graduated from college and he gets the 05. I am driving the 04 for business now.

On a sidenote, we bought an 07 Cadillac DTS for my wife to drive. After having it for a couple months, I have to say the Buicks impress me even more. They ride just as good, get better mileage, and are lots easier to work on. The radio in the Cadillac is not near as good as the one in the Buick at pulling in distant stations and the cupholder is not deep enough to keep a cup from tipping over when going around a corner. One of the reasons we bought the DTS was that we really didn't care for the new Buicks. Very unimpressed with the LaCrosse. Did not like the poor visibility from the driver's seat. Looking underneath the car, the undercarriage didn't look nearly as solid as my Buick. The LeSabre chassis is very similar to the Cadillac we just bought.

Mine had 57k when I bought it seven years ago, now has 264K and being driven every day. Replaced trannie two years ago, one driveaxle, two wheel hubs, one burnt valve, two catalytic converters and five window regulators, otherwise just routine maintenance. Now if I can trace the cause of blown fuses for the interior lighting, it will be great!

210,000 on mine i wish i could tell you original engine but i cant 😡

Just rolled over 155000. Bought the 2000 Limited last Aug for my kid but I liked it so much I had him buy my car and I ended up with the Lesabre. Had to do the tranny after about six months but I knew that going in. Still haven't had to do the intake yet but it's coming eventually. Just did the front brakes for the second time in its life and as to wheelbearings the has had the front ones done by the previous owner.

The guy did keep really good records of the maintance done on it and it was in the same family for its entire life. So fingers crossed I get another 150K out of it!
