How many miles on your LeSabre????

I voted!! I had a 1989 LeSabre that I sold with over 225000 miles on it. I still own three LeSabre's. My 1993 has 180000+ miles on it, my 1998 has 160000+ and my 1999 has 82000 on it. In my opinion the older the LeSabre the better they were. My 1989 and my 1993 never had any repairs other than a starter or an alternator. My 1998 had the plenum coolant leak problem where the cylinders fill with coolant, an $800. repair for me. My 1999 has had a power window problem and is loosing some coolant and I am afriad an intake plenum repair is coming soon. I'm not sure what is the cause of these intake plenum leaks, but you can find reference to 100's of cases on the internet. It may be the dex cool coolant they switched to or maybe just that they use a plastic part for an intake plenum. Whatever the cause it is souring me and many others on Buick's and the 3.8L engine.

I had a plenum issue on the first of two LeSares. It was the smell of fuel of and the prospect of a fire that I had it replaced. The second car had a plastic connector on the fuel line issue that was a problem and remained so after it was replaced until I put on my own connector. The 3.8L is great on highway mileage for a big car. I'm more than convinced premium fuel for highway driving is the way to go, but nothing helps your mileage while driving around town. The coolant and plastic plenum problems may have been fixed on the 2000s. I loved the 3.8L and feel you may not do better with a different one for the car you get in a LeSabre, its worth the fix.

2005 LeSabre Custom 135k, got it 4 years ago with 57k. Torrington bearings went out on trans. 5 ecm's , 1 set of coils, egr, yet to be diagnosed power steering problem, belt tensioner, cam & map sensor, evap can and still drives like sleeping on the couch in front of the tv.

I bought my 04 in 2011 with 125,000 miles. I just passed 160,000. I did replace the upper and lower intake manifold gaskets, and the transaxle was rebuilt.

Mine was a barn find with 48k. $400 n it was mine. On the road n love it. Do have to climb up out of it.

Had a 92 LeSabre Limited. Had 242,000 miles when I wrecked it into a tree in the winter. Most comfortable car I've ever owned. There was something about those leather seats that felt perfect !

i got 200,000 on 2000 that recently turned into a parts car...and 67,000 on my daily driver 2002..picked it up 2 yrs ago with 41,000

1993 limited...97800 miles going strong still but having major gas mileage problems.

Check out the intake manifold gasket could be bad or a oxygen sensor

...then one day a cop cruiser decided to hit my car while it was parked, totaling it.

I've two LeSabres right now. An '05 custom with just under 190,000 and an '04 limited that just turned over to 69,000. The '05 has made three trips from Montana to Florida and then several trips to Seattle and Vancouver, BC. The only thing (other than standard maintenance) was an alternator. Still gets just under 30 mpg on the road. I just got the '04 and had to have the instrument cluster rebuilt and the A/C needs a compressor.
Had a '99 LeSabre, '93 Century, '82 Skylark, '54 Roadster and a '36 Business Coupe. Buick guy.

I have a 1999 lesabre with 220417 miles in it, car was parked for 4-5 years before i bought it so the engine was locked up due to no use, ive only put in this car 226 miles since i got it running again, i sprayed some wd-40 down the cylinders amd got it running again, no smoke coming out the back, doesnt burn oil, head gasket held down, engine is running like a champ to be honest, there is no problem with engine or transmission, im having issued with all 4 windows not rolling down and the ac/heater it only blows air thru the windshield vents or thru the floor and ac clutch dont engage but other than that best car so far
