Mr. Mayor, Mr. Mayor, Mr. Mayor,,,,, A few questions please?.......

"Thank you sir".

Mr. McCheese, Hi, I'm nizerims from the "Buick Street Team" channel., "here, let me get this leaf out of your lower grille in picture 1" OK.

The GS looks beautiful by the way Sir!

Our viewers want to know if you wired your L.E.D's to flash with your turn signals?

Also, we have a Twitter question From @HowieFeltersnatch... Howie says "That Euro Plate is DOPE! Is it your NJ plate number on a Euro plate? Or does it traslate to something else?"

This has been nizerims, reporting live with MayorMcCheese. Now back to Sal Collaziano in The Buick Owners Group studio.

(yeah, I know. don't judge me. This entertains,,,,,,, ME)

im not even joking this was HILARIOUS to read lmao it was perfect lmao

to answer everything .. yes that is my NJ plate on euro plate i figured match the NJ plate since i run it on the bumper.. at first it would interfere with the parking sensors but using some tape and bending the plate slightly took away that issue

i did not wire the LED turn signals because i have the blinker on the head light , i have the blinker on the side mirrors .. i didnt want to have a 3rd blinker.. but i zip tied everything and duct taped it into the inner bumper in case i ever change my mind

but they actually sit very nicely in the vents honestly.. i dont think i need any sort of glue but i used a drop on the back

everything was easy and they look great

Looks great! Very clean install too!

I just wet sanded them and they now have an aluminum look. I pushed a little to hard on the edge and went through the chrome but it won't be seen. If anyone does it just practice on the edge so you don't screw them up. I would post a pic but the forum doesn't allow my app to upload photos.

DonRican,

Could you tell me exactly what you did to sand the lights down to get the aluminum look? Did you remove the chrome bezel first sand and then reattached? What grit paper did you use, and around how long did it take? Sorry for all the questions, I just got the lights and only want to go through this one time.

Also has anyone sanded down the housing of the light to help make it fit more flush? I think this will greatly enhance the look of my GS, but I want it to look as factory is possible.

Thanks all. I haven't had a chance to post but I've been a 2013 Black Diamond Tricoat GS owner for a little over 3 weeks and I love it.

I didn't remove the bezel. I used the finest grit wet sand paper I could find from Home Depot. I think it was 800 grit. I dipped the sand paper in water then sanded. I sanded the sides first to get the right amount of pressure to apply. If you press to hard you will sand down to a brassy looking metal. You will also get light streaks if you sand too much in one direction. You might want to use a finer sand paper than I did but if your carful you should be fine with the 800.

Also, be very careful not to sand the lens.

Go for it!

so I FINALLY got around to installing these damn lights lol been putting it off but I figured I might as well enjoy my last few months with the beast so I spend the time yesterday .. as said many times, the lights don't fit "flush" but their did feel secure enough to not have to glue the back tabs .. I may do that in the future just to be sure but I don't really see the need at the moment .. wiring was obviously a VERY easy task thanks to the kind sir who started this thread LOL just going to post three little pics even though a bunch have already been posted .. thanks again wierz for the writeup :happydanc

you're like me ha I gave EVERY excuse and then I realized the temperature is really starting to drop now so I won't want to do much of anything in the next week or two lol just told my girlfriend I need alone time and went to work haha the hardest part, believe it or not, was getting those God damn stock plastic covers off of the bumper .. I tried the nice way but that didn't work obviously .. I then went aggressive and still couldn't break those bastards .. I finally ended up having to smoosh the tabs with pliers and then using my sharpest scissors to put a cut in the middle of each tab so that I could pull/break them off .. very frustrating but worth it in the end

It is a toss-up for what is more difficult to remove: the stock black plastic "vents" or the dust cap on the stock gear shifter.

If I never have to "remove" another part on this car it'll be too soon lol those plastic parts were doing everything aside from flat out laughing at me lol

When you sell your car ill take the fogs, just lmk

The hardest parts to remove are OBVIOUSLY the exhaust ports in the GS bumper!
C'mon now..😀
