Opel Part Numbers for your Sport Tourer

But what if they do? What if by chance my tourx is compatible with the Vauxhall steering wheel and the airbag?
If I remember this correct- first thing is a plug for the steering wheel is different, second- airbag deployment speed is different in Europe. I would say big safety no-no.

I don’t see how when they were all literally made in the same assembly line in russelheim Germany. It’s hard to believe that Germans would be too ecoficient and cost efficient to worry about making different plugs and connectors just because of the particular region that it’s being sold in for safety reasons.

For vehicle safety compliance, they better make it fool-proof in the assembly line.

The last insignia they came out with, the airbag was interchangeable why would they change that with the new one?

Multiple parts for the same application is SOP at most car makers. Surely there's a reason for it, but it is a mistake to assume that the same car will use the same parts just because it was made by the same people on the same assembly line. I wouldn't be surprised if there were three or four different part numbers for the airbags on these cars and half a dozen different wiring harnesses to run them.

Here is the quick reference for you. Pinout on the main plug is completely different. Top from TourX, bottom-Vauxhall. These are the same optioned steering wheels.

That is probably the exact reason why?
What did I just mention in my last post?

For this reason, I ordered Opel's Astra steering wheel cover so I can use its Opel roundel. Opel's Insignia B or A airbag emblem is not rectangular and can't be used with our Regals, However Vaxhuall Insignia B has a round emblem, so Vaxhuallziation is a little easier.

Has anyone found a new source for ordering the opel grille parts and/or has Blitz Parts started to respond?
Blitzparts has virtually disappeared. I've spoken to someone once through eBay about resuming sales to the USA. They responded that they had a target date of this April. No one here has seemed to have luck with emails and I am awaiting a follow-up message (sent yesterday) to confirm that orders would actually resume. It's doubtful that I'll hear back on my second eBay message, but I will let people know if I do.

My guess is that Adrian doesn't want to deal with the hassle of shipping to the USA, just focusing on German eBay sales. His website redirects directly to his eBay store. I was lucky to order all the Opel parts I needed. Blitzparts eBay store has zero inventory for Insignia B parts.

I tend to agree with your speculation but until Adrian comes on and tells us to go screw ourselves, I'll hold out hope that the pandemic and terrible shipping economies are the hurdle temporarily...

Hey all,
I found a source for Opel parts that is based in the UK but ships from Latvia (RM-Parts). They have been excellent to work with and indicated they can get most anything. They have an eBay store that is well reviewed (only negative reviews are about shipping carrier issues), but I’ll provide an update once I actually get the parts (fingers crossed).

Here it is. Most of these parts have been ordered by myself and confirmed to work on my car. YMMV

Chrome Wing R: 13491191
Chrome Wing L: 13491190

Black Bezel: 39112551

Opel Grill Emblem: 13491204

Opel Tailgate Emblem: 39068586

Rear Bumper Exhaust Molding: 39117536
Rear Bumper OPC SideSkirt R: 39112659

* ACC bracket requires minor trimming of plastic absorber behind bumper cover.

You can mix and match the bezel and wings. My car has a black bezel with chrome wings.

My source for most of these parts was BlitzParts in Germany. Please email Adrian at info@blitzparts.de

I have sets of Opel center caps available for $35 shipped.

Have you found a front bumper with fog lamps that will work with side skirts?

I was able to source an insignia B OPC steering wheel but no luck on a used airbag, yet. Once I find something I'll try the swap and report.

Wait, an used airbag?
Isn't that like used paper tissue?

Haha not a new airbag from a dealer. One from a used car that wasn't deployed. I guess I should have said that so it didn't sound so strange.
