Coding in additional information pages/themes to Guage Cluster

It looks like a genuine airbag cover. Precision work.
I was thinking of doing the same thing, except with the Opel blitz Logo. Of course I'd have to heat and soften the cover to ensure that the edges fit.

Hi, Guys
can anyone have a device OBDLink MX?
we want to test the functionality on the Instrument Cluster.
can one of you know how to solder? you can make an instrument from the cheapest Chinese ELM327 (v1.5, pic18f25k80)

Is there any special that have to be worked out to get the Oil Temperature gauge to work ?
or if there is any possibility to program in an other gauge here (Left gauge)
on the Red needle cluster

Есть ли что-то особенное, что нужно сделать, чтобы датчик температуры масла работал?
или если здесь есть возможность запрограммировать другой датчик (левый датчик)
на кластере красной иглы
have a photo of the back panel?

Soo regarding what’s been mentioned about red needle pocket gauges not being modifiable...I found this picture of a car being wrecked here in Australia and the cluster shows a different right pocket gauge. Obviously this is with minimal power mode with doors open but push button not started...

Is this a random error or potential hope for progress in the near future?

Thats a default hybrid gauge. It shows up even when not configured on a vehicle with low battery conditions and you still cant modify it on the user end from the wheel like the 2018.5+ .

Darn I had my hopes up somewhat there!

So can we clarify what side pockets are available for the red needle cars then?

Do red needle cars display anything in the pocket gauges?

Then why the pic above showed MPG quality on the right side?

Regarding the pocket gauges, it either off or on (With Oil Temperature and Battery voltage)?
is there anyone that have successfully manged to get the Oil Temperature gauge to work as intended on the red needle cluster?

or is there any successfully retrofitting of the white needle cluster in the older cars ?
is there any 2018.05 cluster that have changeble pocket gauges (and have red needle)?

Hello I come from Germany. I came across this site while searching for a solution for my car.
There are 2 types of speedometers in 2 designs each.
1. the first speedometers to update the radio. There you could not change the page displays there were only the 2 displays or jewals none.
2. then the speedometers came after the radio update there you can display many things.
The pointer in red or white only say whether it is a speedometer for a Buick or Opel more not the basic software is always the same

For what its worth, I have the Holden Commodore ZB (Australian Model Insignia/Regal), and I put a digital gauge cluster in my car and it was plug and play regarding the Oil Temp gauge, works completely as expected. The issue that I have actually is that I have the “Service Adaptive Cruise” error that I can’t work out how to code out, and need to replace the VIN to get the odometer working, but other than that seems to be working without a hitch.

I will also note regarding the pocket gauges, i asked the dealer when i was getting my car serviced about them, and they seemed to think that all of the VXR and CalaisV models had configurable pocket gauges from factory, however looking through any of the for sale cars they ALL have red needles. Obviously dealer might just not know what they are talking about, but it seems like @xxx_D_K_xxx may be right, that the red vs white needle is specifically comparing ”US” and ”AUS” models of the car (Regal and Commodore/Calais), compared to “EU” versions of the cars (Insignia).

Red needles world wide- you could only put booster gauge instead of battery in the right pocket(by doing this you would permanently lose the battery menu), white gauges are configurable from the menu, however.

So for my 2018 Buick red needle would I need to buy a new cluster? And where?
Yes, the GS cluster must be purchased. On the webpage, you can specify whether you are sending one in, or wish to buy a cluster directly from WAMS. Doing all business through WAMS is the easiest, but it is possible to find cheaper clusters on eBay etc., though you never know what you're getting.
